Wow Christopher, I am just going to reiterate what you said, that is so important when facing these patterns, "be loving", maybe being like a caring loving mother or father to these parts of self that really were or are doing their best from their level of consciousness to protect one, they need permission and love, and a feeling of safety to know it is okay to let go.

Thank you, Christopher! That was very helpfull. As a Capricorn Sun, i recognise these defenses. The fear of not having, the bitterness of frustration, the obedience to invisible family orders, the never enough, the hiding from my own light, the toughness, austerity, resistance to what?... This long Pluto transit brought all that to the suface. Mercury helps to make It clear. All these defenses are self-fullfiling profecies at the end. I am not far away from losing everything, again, and always fighting against it. Maybe this time I can just accept the possibility, learn to live with It instead of being in eternal struggle, just let go all these "must" and "have to" and...and then what? That's a big Capricorn void. Maybe just live...

I absolutely love this weeks show. This is so apt. I have been working on this the past 3 years. I understood then when I started this journey that indeed all those unsavoury 'traits/habits' were my way of protecting myself. Some served me really well but so many of them are not congruent with the person I am today. Thank you so much as always Christopher and here is wishing you a fabulous week ahead. 🙏🏿

Very poignant and can relate to this in different circumstances . Helplessness is tragic , guilt now ebbing away this year . Speaking as a Capricorn I understand how I do this xxx interestingly an article in the Guardian found that psychologists have found a phenomenon called ‘ learned loneliness ‘ has happened since the pandemic xxx

Always profound! Probing the depths of defense mechanisms, no easy task but I liked the idea of things beyond expiration dates needing to be tossed out. I found myself wondering about the astrology charts of those three soldiers. It would be interesting to compare and contrast them.

This is so very on point. My mercury is at 21 Capricorn, the past couple of years has brought great changes. All of these different things have been vivid in my life. Thinking has changed and is definitely the qualities you speak about are so much prevalent each and every day. This is my third house intercepted, at times hard to think in a precise way. Ok Professor, you struck a cord! I've been sitting with this message for the past two days...I went through my fridge as an exercise and yup...I found things to throw out...testing, withholding, austerity, I didn't realize these were my actual defense mechanisms...Mercury conjunct Pluto is how my mind thinks in the 10th House...in the House associated with my ascendant ruler, Saturn, where he is exalted in Libra and INDEED, my mind digs deep for the Truth and INDEED I can show the face of withdrawing unto myself, I do it all of the time, out of fear that someone is going to take advantage of me or use me and under value me...I don't know if I can let that go...I might be the one found in the cave still defending a war that has ended...lawd.

Oh, I think you'll come out when you feel ready. OMG! I just got struck with the image of Glenda from the Wizard of Oz calling out "come out, come out wherever you are" to all the forgotten Japanese soldiers from WW 2! 😊

Thank you for those stories a fascinating way to look at defence mechanisms, I remember those stories in the 1970's - My reflection was on all three and the debilitating feelings of helplessness which must have touched all of them at some point. Helplessness and a sense of inadequacy are such tender places for so many and part of being human, we are helpless in the face of so much in our human experience - perhaps this is the true face of courage when we are able to embrace our fragility yet not hide in the hole but face the vulnerability of experiencing life in all its' hideous beauty?
