Working with a Kukyu

Ойын-сауық

Helping a Kukyu with groundwork while the kid class is going on. Hes getting pretty good pretty fast. This time around he did a lot of things I told/pointed out to him about since the last time we did some one on one(which was last week). So I find that pretty impressive that hes already employing that. The camera cut off right before Sankaku Jime because of memory overload.

out of curiousity what is the order of belt color in your school ours (for goju and Shindo Ryu JJJ) is white-yellow-orange-green-blue-brown-black but I`ve read for most JJJ there is a Red belt.

If you're in alabama, I can see that happening. A lot of the guys there just plain suck. They're the butt of many jokes in the martial arts world. I see good basics in you, something most guys there don't learn. Keep it up.

What is the highest ranked BJJ guy you've beaten? I actually am friends with a JJJ nidan, and I find his groundwork to be good, but only compared to most white/blue belts. He is also a shodan in judo who used to do a little no gi bjj. All that being said, I find him pretty easy to tap compared to the mid and high level blue belts at Professor Sauer's school.

@BlackShinobiShozoku hahaha yea, i have the same experiance. sometimes its up to one of the alpha dogs to put the new wolf in place :) . i had my share of getting hurt and i've gotten smarter. It's me or him.. or the smartest way is just to say bluntly and deney a sparr. :) how about you? do you sometimes hurt them before they hurt you? and thanks for posting your videos

look ,unless you are now ten times better than on the vids, you are living in a fantasy world. The reason everyone tells you that your crap is because you are ,at least in the grappling and throwing area. You think someone who spends all their training time on the ground are very easy to beat in grappling,if thats so you better enter the next big grappling comp near you ,youll clean up for sure.

after seeing 10 secs of those vids i could judge someones standard so unless you have changed every single thing youre doing since then yore still a complete novice standard.Actually ive never been to a poor bjj school, the grades are always hard to get except for blue in some cases.Youre speaking like a typical trad martial art dreamer who still thinks their stuff works. I can identify a bit because that was me when i did tkd.

lad you are dreaming if you think youre helping him, virtually everything youre doing is incorrect/ineffective,thats not even a decent white belt level of grappling in a bjj school.Youre a green belt, thats pretty new so theres hope for you yet but you need to wake up and realise youre current standard is atrocious before you do anything about it.
