Working Through Anxiety Symptoms

What do you do when anxiety symptoms arise in your life? How do you respond and cope? Today I want to share about some common ways we react to anxiety, many of which do not serve our long term healing and freedom journey. And I also want to share with you some healthy mindsets and perspectives that will empower your journey when it comes to anxiety symptoms.

Thank you Pastor Mark for taking the time to share what is mostly needed. To hear the love of the Father. I come out of strong legalism and religion and I am yet recovering ❤️‍🩹 from the trauma of left me with. I was born and raised in Pentecostal holiness and after 17 years, God showed me the gospel of grace and I haven’t been the same ever since. It left me devastated that I have only know half truths about God, but I’m still grateful for Him showing me the Way. God bless you for your work to see the hearts of the children turned to the Father.

I recently started reading your book OCD heart journey, the chapter on emotions described me 100%.....thank for you sharing your story. Guilt and anxiety makes us look inward and we judge ourselves so harshly, as if we, lets say are hurt, bleeding and on top of that we start punching ourselves for being hurt......Thanks

Hi Mark i can’t tell you how many times I’ve been there. Since I was 29 when it first came on me. And I was prescribed meds and it went away and I stayed in counseling but really didn’t LISTEN and realize I needed to be on a journey. And I’m embarrassed to say now that I’m 56 I’m finally ready to go on that journey. I just need guidance. I am still on medication but now I really want God to walk with me. I know I’m still in legalism because I still am performance driven but I know my eyes and heart have to be opened and learn. Anyway, sorry I went on a rant. Please keep up with the videos. I LOVE them! Thank you for understanding.

I know that my recovery is long-term. I don't expect q quick fix. Where I am concerned is that when I have a serious attqack becuase of looming danger. threats I need to be "stabilized" enough to experinece some rest and refreshing. Much like in an emergency room where they stabilize a person enough to where the danger is removed and the recovery can begin.

I just took a sedative to have some time off from hard physical simptoms so that I can watch this video and enjoy it.. it's not a problem to take a medicine, it's expecting it to fix your problem. I just use it in situations when my symptoms are too disturbing to function. It helps a little, but the best medicine is taking time off and meet with your feelings and events. I personally have time on and off with medication. I've been through many different phases and each of them asked for different approach and routine. Don't be scared for not knowing "better". Try to stabilize yourself enough to start asking constructive questions and develop sincere interest for your issues.

Ive been up and down for 8 year's and am completely spent. Ruminating and medication has weakened my body and after numerous counceling sessions Im still on a downward slope. Ive given up on healing cause I understand that only getting to the root will contribute to complete healing. After 8 years of searching for the root and not finding it , whats the point? It doesn't make sense to me. I dont understand why Gid would stand back and allow us to suffer whilst He can do something? Doesn't make sense?? 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🥴🤦🏼‍♂️🙇🏼‍♂️🙇🏼‍♂️

Romans 8: 5. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
