    Awesome video thanks so much. I lived and worked in Yosemite 6 times in my life. Summers of 1988, 1989, 2021, and 2022; continuous Jan 1990 - Feb 1992, and May 2018 - August 2019. Earlier on I worked mostly at the front desk and the last 2 summers I cooked. I lived in “the Ozone” at first in 1988 and 1989 at Yosemite Lodge. I was in one of the tents that you showed in your video. I then was in a dorm room at the Yosemite Lodge area in 1990. I then got a small dorm room on the 3rd floor of Tecoya dorms. I then got a wob in the Yosemite Lodge area. That was back in 1990-1992. Then in 2018 I was in a tent in the Curry area for 2 weeks and then I lucked out like you and found someone that needed a roommate in Tecoya dorms that I lived in until I left in August 2019. Then I was back in a tent again for the next 2 summers in the Curry area. I love Yosemite and I didn’t really care what work that I did because I was in paradise as far as I was concerned. The living conditions are rustic and are not for everyone, but if you love the outdoors, hiking, climbing, and camping, then you put up with the housing.

    Hey I'm actually going to apply soon and use this as my way of moving from Tennessee to California. I saw in websites like coolworks that they do have year round positions not just seasonal work. Honestly the only concern I have is the bike. I can't ride a bike. Just couldn't learn it. I have a car so couldn't I just use that to get around or to my job and back to the tents?

  • @sightsofsara

    @sightsofsara

    4 жыл бұрын

    Good question! You are not required to use the housing here. You may apply for a couples wob or tent or dorm but with low seniority it’s unlikely you’ll be in a dorm. You can have a pet as long as it is registered as a service animal (which is not hard to do).
