@@Inactive56778 there's literally so many things is boxes stacked on pallets together, so it's almost impossible to find one small thing. Customers also expect you to find it in 5 minutes, but in reality it might take 1/2 and hour to find it. Maybe if the box is really big, there might be a chance to find it. So, it's better to check in the system, if they want then check in the back. If it's not there, then write a raincheck and call back when you or someone taking out merchandise to the floor finds it.

Every day I go in, I'm incredibly glad I'm not alone in dealing with retail customers. If you work retail and are suffering, just remember. Its not personal. They dont see you. They see their inconvenience in getting EXACTLY what they want.

I've experienced the "top shelf" and "do you work here" situations more times than I'd like to admit.

I'm one of those people that are really respectful to the workers at retail cause I know the pain they go through. Lol.

because most artists want to survive on art but realistically can't do that until they make a name for themselves, so in the meantime they need money to survive and retail is an easy job to snag, especially if you don't have any other work experience/degrees.

This is so very relatable. It makes it funnier when you get a manager involved and they do or say the same thing 😂😂 had that happen with a return. Okay so: I worked at Big Lots a few years ago. One elder gentleman came in to return a tablecloth (because the wife changed her mind?). He didn't have a receipt, no rewards card, nor paid with card. I tried telling him we couldn't return it without a reciept. "But I don't (like/want) it" ....need proof old man! Anyway, I tried "Return with no reciept" and he didn't like what he was getting back. The item was on sale, so because he had NO reciept, the register thought it was a returned mark off item. Finally, he said something along the lines of: "Well then we just won't come back anymore" Fine by me you old fart. So I replied with: "Shall I call my manager? Maybe she can do something that I can't?" He accepted and the process repeated. The difference? She was able to go into the system and override the price off to return the full priced item. Still feeling somewhat unsatisfied, the elder man said before he left: "Alright, but we'll be hesitant to come back" Fine. Whatever. You got your money. We have other people that'll gladly come in. Bye! Another BL story. Don't really remember what lead up to it, but I remember a lady saying "I can take my money elsewhere" because we didn't bend the rules in her favor. Yeah okay 8!+(4. Do it then. Anyway, we found a way to appease her and she left, unphased, and left in her still miffed-ish state.

When you relate on all them levels 🤣🤣😭😭😭😭

Though I used that "There's no price, that means it's free!" as a joke once and I got the item for free. Maybe the guy was new... Maybe he thought I was cute... Either way, I got a free fox cushion :D

I relate so hard I used to work as a sales assistant in Smiggle, and outr shop was so tiny the sTOCK ROOM WASNT IN THE BACK, IT WAS IN A DIFFERENT SECTION OF THE SHOPPING CENTRE, "CHECKING THE BACK" INCLUDED A 3 MINUTE WALK EACH WAY

Literally this happens all the time. Ive worked in 4 retail stores and people drive you insane. I work at a shoe store and this lady wanted a shoe in a different size which was on the top storage shelf all the way at the bottom of a large stack of other shoes. It took me at least 5 minutes getting it off the shelf for her and at the end she didnt even buy them. And then the worst is when you tell them something and they dont believe you and they have you call the manager and the manager says the same exact thing and they accept it just like that. I could go on. Anyway great video. Keep up the amazing work 💞💞

I work in retail also, once we had so many donations we had to start putting the bags on the shop floor.

I work in retail and I can SO relate. The one that annoys me the most is when people bring a basket full of stuff to the register and then leave half of it with me because they changed their mind or didn't have enough money to buy it. And half the stuff they leave is either cold or frozen.

Funny enough, watching this video gave me anxiety. I'm one of the last people who should be working retail, as I have a thing about holding people accountable for their stupidity. Like most everybody else who works retail that watched this video, I couldn't tell you how many times I have ran into each and every one of these scenarios. Many of these are an everyday thing for me, actually. And for anyone watching this video who has never worked retail before, my advice to you is: IF YOU WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, TRY BEING A GOOD CUSTOMER FIRST!

I'm with you on this one, buddy. Retail sucks so much. Especially when the customers want you to "gift wrap" the stuff. Like sorry, I dont work at a mall, it's retail. :/

I sympathize wholeheartedly. I've seen some of the worst kinds of trash customers when I working in retail ages ago. These losers think they can treat you like crap because they know you work in retail and see you as less than human. Some customers just live empty lives and this is how they take it out on others.

I work at a grocery store and I can relate so much! I once asked a customer if "they were finding everything ok', and they just rudley said "excuse me" very coldly with a hostile look at me! I felt like total garbage!
