What I love about this is that the horse looks happy, like he is enjoying the course. Unlike so many other competitions. No yanking/forcing. I love it!

I think that skin is just part of the costume. Riders are encouraged to wear the traditional clothing of working horse-teams in their country, if there is any. The national teams also usually have their own team look. I‘m guessing traditionally the skin would have served as padding for anything you strap on top for transport. Now it‘s just there to complete the look.

Also I think this was Munich. It was in Germany for sure, as the narrator is speaking German, but I believe Munich was the specific location for the 2018 world championships
