    Then you preemptively get in you fools. Just like real life military. They don’t get in tanks during combat. They get in then go attack. Besides, This is fallout. If you’re getting attacked beforehand then that means you need to “Git Gud”. Maybe up your perception so you can see them before they see you on the compass? Maybe get your sneaking up? In the end if you’re being killed getting into the suit then you were lacking by not being in it already, scrub! 🙃

    Very cool self closing mechanism, I'd imagine there's a switch incorporated that allows it to open up again to exit On another note, the last thing anyone wants to see is a flashing fusion core dropping on the floor. That's everyone's cue to run

    Honestly Fallout's power armor, at least as it's portrayed in Fallout 4, is really realistic. Of course this is how the military would most likely design power armor in any world; it's sturdy enough to put any amount of armor on whilst offering little risk of the pilot hurting themselves.

    There's a prototype exosekelton that is being tested for heavy lifting operations currently. Last I heard is that although it is in the early development stages, the military and corporate industries are interested in the product. The guys just need to iron out to kinks and solve the power issues.

    Except in real world, power armor is a stupid concept. Makes the soldier slow, inconspicuous and unable to take cover. Anyone with a anti materiel rifle will have a big grin on their faces. "Looking badass" is not an advantage real life soldiers are willing to risk their lives for.

    @@Zamolxes77 "Heavy lifting". It's not a combat suit. Besides, if it was powered and the design was polished, it could be a supplement to combat arms. Like plate armor was for the renaissance era. Obviously it would have to be perfected and not everyone would need it. As a specialized tool for certain encounters, sure. It would be like a bomb suit but more mobile.

    Technically thinking about it, power armor or an armor bodysuit frame (halo and doom) has been theoretically possible. Its trying to actually make it and run it the issue. Since we dont have the right steel and iron combinations, ect, the weight of mecs suits being to heavy. The suits blocking fluid movemebt

    Interestingly enough, this is being worked on by Boston Dynamics and DARPA is already testing them. For all we know, they may have a fully operational exoframe ready for production that we simply don't know about.

    yes but if you care to consider that still is a marvel of engerneeiring building an exso suit isnt easy a lot of time and effot must had gone into this puls not everyone is the same size so the arms being to short dossent matter all that much
