I have felt what you experienced on takeoff 🛫 a lot lately. Especially on the 717. I've been saying the commands in my head too. The pilots called it wake turbulence. We are flying through another aircraft disruption of the air. That's why they try to space out takeoff at the airport. But with so many planes taking off at the same time 😢 air does get kinda bouncy...but I empathize with you. Keeps us on our toes with that "mental checklist" while sitting on the jumpseat. Getting in your car as soon as you get off the plane truly makes being a FA a different job. It's what halts me from switching bases to be off ADY3 like others from my class. So for now it's my justification to stay at headquarters for work/life balance. Alrighty, thanks for the mental break.. I'll go back to refreshing my knowledge for CQ tomorrow 🎉
