Hey First of all congratulation for starting your new journey of architecture in city of dreams. 🥳 Just after completing my architecture recently, I am so worried about what should I do next? Like every fresher architect, this is a big question for me too. I used to prepare for GATE architecture exam in my last year of architecture and managed to take admission in IIT Guwahati. I feel good here but it's more of 'tech' and not visualization and art. At this point of my life, I miss my graduation days and architecture studio where we used to sit for entire day 🧡. Anyway I always wanted to get an architecture job in Mumbai. Other than traffic, Mumbai always attracted me. I will be completing my masters by July 2024. It would be great if you can share me some of your opinions, tips and ideas. I would feel happy to see your response on my comment.

Congratulations on securing an admission in IIT. If you are more of a 'tech' I would highly encourage you to learn Revit as much as you can. It is good if you are more into the technical side because companies want that more than designers. I would suggest learning everything about Revit and becoming a pro so that you can get a job in BIM. Learn how to make families. Many freshers are just like you and are not sure about what lies next. Since Mumbai is a really big city there are different regulations in South Bombay, north Bombay and Navi Mumbai. You will have to look into UDCPR guidelines and other regulations in depth. I cannot give you a definite answer without knowing the exact location of the building.

Make sure your diploma teaches you 3d modelling in Revit and learn everything there is to learn in Revit. It will help you find your first job. Try to find people who have graduated with the same degree and ask them for advice.
