Working as an ADVENTURE Tour Leader
Even though I currently work as a Video Producer and Photographer, which is awesome, one of the best jobs I ever had was an Adventure Tour Leader in South America. This is a video about that story.
It's also a good indication of how I've been able to transition my Video Production business into assisting with Adventure Photography Workshops and Video / Photo Retreats.
For those interested, I think it's important to understand the work and experience of being an Adventure Tour Leader. I hope this video helps covey these thoughts.
BALI ☀️ If you're interested in one of the LAST 2 Rooms Available at the villa follow this link for detailed information www.brendansadventures.com/tr...
This is the INAUGURAL BvS Squad Video & Photo Retreat and I can assure you it won't be the last. To be part of our Very First is definitely something special and there are still two rooms available, with a couples discount, so let either myself or Brendan know if you're keen on joining us this September. It's going to be awesome!!

Tucan, I worked for Tucan in South America. I used to run tours from Quito (Ecuador) to Rio ( Brazil) and vice versa.

Thanks Debs!!
Thank you for making this video Greg. Would you be able to give tips on how you went about booking bulk accommodation for the groups you led? Did you or the company have some sort of partnership with certain hotels? Many thanks 😊
Let’s hear some crazy stories from the road Greg!

Oh Oh looks like you've trademarked "Absolutely Stunning" and Mr H may need to pay you compo 👀 Was videography part of your Tour Leader duties Greg or was that something you done for personal endeavours
@gregsnell

Haha. Had to put that one in the end. Videography was not part of my duties no, I just loved recording all the adventures and taking TONS of photos. All that travel really laid the foundation for my business today, which is why I've been meaning to make this video.
That was quite an awesome story! Although I haven't heard of any of these adventure tour companies, the idea does sound really cool! I'm glad to see you are having a little bit of relaxation before heading out on your next adventures!
Nice
Hey, thanks for the video. I'm eager to work in the adventure tourism industry and love the idea of moving to different countries every few years but I figure I'd be confined to English speaking countries only unless I learn a new language. I was wondering, did you already speak Spanish when you got the job in South America or was the company willing to hire you as an english only speaker?
@gregsnell

Hi Matilda, I was also an English speaker only. At least up until the age of 19. Yes I did know intermediate Spanish before becoming a tour leader but it wasn't great. I learned as I went and am still learning Spanish years later. If the passion is there picking another language can be fun. I now speak basic Portuguese and German too :)

@@gregsnell Great to know. I'm a beginner Spanish learner so it's great to know it might possible for me to get jobs there without being at a fluent level yet. Muchas Gracias!
which is the best college in Canada to do adventure courses for international students?
In your end slate video when talking about Rio De Janeiro state (circa) 2011 you said "Absolutely Stunning" I didn't know you knew Thomas Heaton back then hahaha or maybe Thomas isn't the only one that uses "Absolutely Stunning"?
