ET 3850 Epson printer, Epson 502 ink not coming out the bottle to refill tank. No solution anywhere. Shaq, not only me but others are having the same problem with no solution. Help!

Shaq's laying the hype on a bit thick, isn't he...? Ahem. In all seriousness, has Epson even tested how long their printers can sit offline? Most schools and colleges [one of the primary demographics of laser printers] close when summer begins and re-open at the end of August, a time range between 2 and 3 months. I just pulled my old HP Color LaserJet M570dn MFP out of storage after 4 years of "tolerating" an EcoTank, when it finally kicked the bucket. The HP LaserJet still printed and copied perfectly! Sorry, Shaq. Inkjets are a thing of the past, and ink tanks are still having some of the same issues. Lasers are getting in the passing lanes and putting their feet down!

I'm speaking from experience of seeing hundreds of inkjet [and some ink-tank] printers break down no longer than a year after they were bought, while many laser printers that are decades old are still printing as good as brand new. Because the printheads and hoses of inkjet printers clog up with dry ink, requiring a lot of cleaning and maintenance which can be inconclusive and wastes more ink than just printing a document. I couldn't even have an inkjet priner sit offline for a week, and I was already having trouble with it. Laser printers use toner, which is already dry, so they don't care how often you use it or how long they sit offline, and they still print on the first click.

@@biankaataegina0101 seems to me that the issue of inkjets clogging are a problem how often it is used. Besides, inkjets can be unclogged with paint thinner.

Hoo you are a laser lovable user😅. Inkjet lower power, high colour picture quality, low maintenance low price , paper yield is so accurate, laser always makes time to print on first I think you are educated
