I’ve been looking into becoming a software developer through scrimba, which is a interactive platform that teaches you how to code…there’s been many cases where people tend to get jobs after 6-12 months of completing the course. but I’m not too sure if I’m just wasting my time here…considering how everybody keeps saying the ship has sailed for entry level/juniors..But how true is this statement? I live in Germany and my plan is to really dive in and try my best to build my portfolio with personal projects that will allow me to stand out. Im aware that things are terrible right now but I’m hoping the job market will improve by the time I’m ready to apply. I’ll be applying around Bavaria region, near Nuremberg area and I was thinking maybe the market here isn’t as competitive compared to larger cities. I honestly wouldn’t mind getting a praktikum or ausbildung to get my foot in the door to gain experience. What are your thoughts? I have a residence permit through marriage and a child. (Biggest motivation to make this work) I’m currently taking an integrationkurs to reach b1 but I’m determined to reach a strong b2-C1 for better opportunity.

Hi @Miguel-ve1lh Thanks for your comprehensive inquiry. It's hard for us to tell from here, but we're of course aware of boot camp courses such as the one you mentioned. The promise of such courses currently falls short due to the lack of openings for juniors, that is correct. We're seeing an increase in openings again, but we expect competition to remain tough in that respective part of the job market. Trainee positions or internships can help get a foot in the door and gain first hands-on project experience. We wish you all the best!

Hi @hafizappu9989 It will be hard for someone without education or proper work experience to find a job in Germany. We recommend you take a look at www.make-it-in-germany.com/de/ to see if you have skills that might help you come and work here. Also, graduation from a German university can help you get a job in Germany more easily.
