What is Multiple Sclerosis ❓
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). In MS, the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body. Eventually, the disease can cause permanent damage or deterioration of the nerves. Signs and symptoms of MS vary widely and depend on the amount of nerve damage and which nerves are affected. Some people with severe MS may lose the ability to walk independently or at all, while others may experience long periods of remission without any new symptoms. There's no cure for multiple sclerosis. However, treatments can help speed recovery from attacks, modify the course of the disease, and manage symptoms.

Seb, I just discovered your videos today and am enjoying them. Your positive attitude is a beautiful thing! I've had those exact 3 fingers numb for quite some time, then it randomly got better. My neurologist at the MS clinic said he believes it wasn't MS-related. He said those 3 digits in particular are known to go numb with carpal tunnel syndrome, and that it would be unusual for MS to only affect those 3. Just a thought to maybe check into that, so you can cross something off the MS list :-) Keep strong!

hi Sebastian I hope you will get better . I can relate to the part where you said that changing routine can be sometimes challenging . I've been a stay at home mom for three years and now I'm adjusting to a new job , studying and many other things I sometimes feel that way too although I don't have MS but I find your words always inspiring .. sending you loads of love and positivity

Walking flame...yes. This is how I feel most days. I have a 9-5 type office job that is full time. I never feel like I can just have a day to myself. I always feel drained. Ugh. It's not pleasant. I know the feeling you are going though.

Same... Mornings are the worst... It gets better throughout the day, or I get used to it, but I just wish I could sleep all day!!

I completely agree about the sleep schedule, I need at least 10 hours of sleep or i feel i just can't function in work 😅 Im starting rebif in September so i really hope it helps with the fatigue. I hope you feel better soon ☺️

They better come up with something that can help the fatigue!! It's so stressful to complete one's day and also fit in the 10h of sleep... and the worst is also seeing people's faces when you say you need 10h of sleep! Ugh. I hope you feel better too!

Thanks so much for keeping us updated. I am thinking that your walking issues are more obvious now that you have a new schedule. Fatigue brings out the worst in us. Surely it will take time to adjust to the "stress" of your new job and your new routine/schedule. For me, stress (real or imagined) is the worst part of it. Any MS symptoms are worsened. And please don't hesitate to use a cane. I resisted walking assists for the longest time, but realized (after a badly sprained ankle) how important it is to remain vertical! Enjoy the weekend!

Amen to that and thanks for the tip. I will consider carrying my "foldy" cane in my bag at all times so that I can rely on it when necessary. I wish you a great weekend too!

Hang in there, dude. In my experience, exhaustion can come and go with this darned disease -- and it can even be seasonal. So while you are clearly noting your limits at the moment, things may 1) change, and 2) get better! Only time will tell.

Thanks for the encouraging words! It is a little scary how I've been noticing the symptoms much more clearly, but I hope you're right and things will return to "normal" again once I've adjusted fully to the change... All best!

Being someone who is very young with multiple sclerosis (17), it sucks being looked at by people who see me as being healthy, energized and not tired. But there are days were i just feel horrible or I can't move some limbs as I usually can. Or when you explain to someone what you have and what the disease does to your body and they just don't understand you can't do many things that most teenagers can do and that sucks. but I've realized that even though you do have a disease that most people don't see or understand is that, you can't let it get to you and just do what you can do to fullest of your limitations. I hope you're feeling better man, I'm dealing with being sick as well. Get well soon💕

Sorry to hear that you have to deal with MS at such a young age... I can imagine all the unpleasant situations you're dealing with. Keep up the good spirit and keep fighting! Worst case this is making you stronger than your peers. Best wishes from Denmark :-)

Have you heard of the Raiki? I am trying to set up a massage/touch healing session. I can no longer do yoga. I hate being tired. Never used to be. Keep on moving :-)

The tiredness is the worst... I haven't tried Reiki, but I hear it has helped some people. Same to you Christine, I hope you're doing well and staying strong!! All the best, S
