Dear, Carrying materials while ascending or descending a ladder is not advisable, as it can lead to accidents. In many cases, personnel fall from ladders because they lose three-point contact while carrying materials. Therefore, it is recommended to use alternative methods such as tool bags with ropes through the gin wheel pulley, tool belts, materials baskets, etc., for shifting materials and tools on the platform.

Dear, Three-point contact on a ladder refers to the practice of ensuring that at least three of your four limbs (typically both feet and one hand or both hands and one foot) are in contact with the ladder at all times while ascending, descending, or working on it. This technique enhances stability and reduces the risk of falling. It's a crucial safety measure to follow when using ladders to prevent accidents and injuries.
