Hey, y'all! I'm always reluctant to wake up for Fajr prayers as I feel very cold, lonely and sad while waiting for the sun to come up as it's so dark and gloomy. But I managed to get up today for it and that's an achievement for me! So I pray for peace in your hearts and blessings upon your heads. All of y'all.

I guess my faith sorta fluctuates. Since my teenage years up until two years ago I was depressed and angry at everything in life and I didn't know what else to fill the void inside of me other than just entertaining myself endlessly and buying stuff. I couldn't really sit still and plan ahead. But one fine day, when you feel like you've watched every movie and done almost every possible adrenaline pumping activity, you start to ponder the meaning of life. Then you pray Zohor for the first time in a long time and feel this peace that's just beyond words. Being grateful is definitely key to it though. Otherwise nothing is ever enough. I'm a lot happier now than I was before so Alhamdulillah. Thank you, God for saving me from myself.

@NN O Maybe I feel sad at Fajr because it's so quiet and that's when my thoughts start racing and reminding me of all the foolish things I've done in the past. I spent a good 8 years of my life wasting time, energy and money trying to prove that I didn't need guidance on how to take control of my life. I was undoubtedly mistaken. The Creator knows best. Not me. I have to play my part for all of it to make sense.

As salamu alaikum brother. He didn't "come up" with these life lessons. Allah tells us over and over again to read HIS words because HE makes it clear to read and remember. Just read that Surrah for yourself and you will see. InshAllah He is just, Alhamdullilah, repeating Allah's word.

Today after salatul fajr i read surat Yusuf after that i started reading the autobiography of malcom x and i saw a notifacation saying new khutbah by my beloved brother nouman ali khan 😍💜 ALLAH matched the surah i read today and the khutbah. 😍😗 Alxamdulillah.

Great Khutbah. I suffered from the consequences of this and i can confirm that it causes a great deal of harm. In fact it messes with the natural balance of how a normal human being should function. Do not say abusive things to your children. It can be the very reason why you complain 30 years later about how "messed up" they are without realizing you are the one who caused it. Children get their mind program written by you so choose your words carefully. Saying things like "idiot", "i hate you", "i wish you weren't my son/daughter", "look at your cousins, why cant you be like them", "your nose is so big, your skin is too dark, you are so short, you look like an elephant" etc will only cause them to develop self-hatred, low confidence, low self-esteem and make way for destructive habits and behaviours. You will not be discipling them like that, you will only destroy them until the day comes when Allah lets them know what caused them the issues they are having and by then whether you admit or not, they will think that you were a horrible parent and blame you for their problems (rightfully so). Even if they have forgiven you, they will still be able to recognize that you did that to them. Be careful. Children are an amanah, not a punching bag for you to dump your anger and insecurities on.

Same here Firdhouse and Salahudin. I wanna be with him in this world. Let alone Jannah.Hamza Yusuf too same. But Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan has given me an example of how Rasul Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam would have been. I ask Allah to help me transform like him so I do some goodness in my area of life before I depart this world. If any pious souls see this message, say Ameen..

I've been studying Surah Yusuf for the past few months, it's a Surah that's very close to my heart. And now when I see NAK making a khutbaa based on three of its ayaats, that's a joy beyond expression. I genuinely feel that NAK's words are imaan booster. May Allah azzawajal increase him in his eloquence and put barakah in his efforts.

If what you feel is not a big problem, reserve it and make it a loan to Allah. You will be rewarded for your patience. But if it's too much for you to hold it in, then seek help both spiritually and secularly. Only God knows best what you feel and the intensity of it and he will take care of it for you.

Feels like long time. Nouman sir, May Allah reward you so much in this world and the hereafter. Ameen😇

Subhan allah... you described what I am getting through with my mother very precisely.. it's devestating ..it changed me very badly .. to the point that I hated everything in life and stopped being me .. and just started doing everything she validates even though I knew it was wrong or waste of time .. just to stop hearing bad comments and so she stops yelling at me every time she sees me .. and what is keeping me from falling apart is my father .. who is the opposit of her .. he always guides me when I'm wrong with very kind words that make me feel better and do better .. without him, maybe I would of done bad things to myself .. so alhamdoulillah for having both of them in my life and for having you to tell us that quran has every thing we need in our lifes .. we need only to listen and meditate and understand it in the right way .. Words uttered from family can be weapons or armor. Masha Allah this khutbah reminds us of the power of words and to be kind and gentle to our kids because the words we say will stay with them forever, for better or worse. Jazak Allah khair for this khutbah and a very important reminder.

I am from Egypt and I always listen to shiek motwaly elsharawy he is amazing to explain Quran but subhan alla god creat people with different languages to explain Quran like shiek nouman god bless you .

Mashallah, Brother Nouman nailed it! He is talking about emotional neglect. and it has devastating consequences if it isn't identified and worked out. commonly you will see manifestations of anxiety and depression later in life.

I listen very carefully when watching these Khutbahs of brother Nouman, jazakallah, the best teacher.

SubhanAllah, a few hours ago I was reading surat Youssef and I felt like I need some more explanation to understand the lessons behind this sura, and then I came across this Khutbah, jazak Allah khayr sheikh Nouman w Baraka Allah fik ❤️🤲🏽

I'm from Syria and i just can't leave your lessons or "Khutbah" mashalla upon you, one of the best scholars in this Ummah, may Allah give me the sustenance to be student under your hands🤲

I pray whole hearted the 3rd generation of ummah obey Allah and his prophets sunnah. Worship him and follow them. instead of the devil and his desires and material lifestyle

@@Wood97718 I'm not sure but he is questioning every single thing in Islam and truthfully I don't have the knowledge to answer his questions. He says for example how can a merciful God create a person if he knows that person is going to hell. I tell him that this person still has free will and his own actions will lead to his fate but Allah is all knowing therefore he already knows where everyone will end up.

Sir thanks for sharing your wisdom with us. Some of the very important lessons to learn from the sura. I totally agree with you and would like to reiterate that in today's world of satanism us parents of young children must be utmost careful when some of our older relatives are around our children. It's an unfortunate truth that vast majority of child abuse is perpetrated at homes by close friends and relatives.
