Cigarettes and alcohol addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my husband which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

I would like to know from those who have solved PTSD and anxiety, if they have solved it definitively and how to understand what quantity of psilocybin to take and when, for how long. And can you really heal without having an addiction? Thanks to everyone for helping me understand, I want to understand if it's something that can help me solve the problem (I have c-ptsd)

Somebody suggested to me some years ago I try the combo of whiskey and cigars. I was drinking occasionally up until then but never really smoked. (Had tried a few times cigarettes, but nothing major). Either way, so the first time I had the combo I kind of enjoyed it, but it wasn't that cool. Then the second time, I definitely appreciated it more. And then a few more times down the line (this was all during a few months period), I was really starting to get into it. The combination of a good whiskey and a quality cigar was really starting to get charming for me. I remember, one evening, when I was just planning to hit it again, I suddenly realized that if I don't stop the cigar thing RIGHT now - I will get addicted to it. And then one addiction can lead to another and then I would really be in trouble. After that moment I had never had a glass of whiskey with a cigar any more. In fact I haven't had even a standalone cigar or any nicotine products at all. Watching your video here makes me think - damn, that was a good decision that evening.

Thanks for this. It's been exactly 8 days, seems like such a little time but in my head it seems like an entire lifetime. You don't realize how evil smoking can be, it was created to solve a problem that was created by nicotine in the first place just coz some fart wanted to make money😒 I constantly remind myself that I was not born with a cigarette in my mouth so why's this so hard? Then it hits me, smoking has been a part of my life and such a big part of who I am for over 15 years so of course it'll make me feel some kind of way, I need to be more patient with myself. This is really hard but I know it will be worth it. I now watch videos like these each time I crave for some inspiration and it really works. Thank you sir for sharing your experience with us. I genuinely feel that if I could go 8 days without smoking then I can see this to the end and I can do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING!!! And that feeling, I will remind myself of each time I want to light up. Good luck to those who are on the same journey and to those who have never smoked before, don't ever start, it's never worth it❤️

@@danieladamconceicao6246 The thing is, if you're thinking about something all the time you're still being gripped by it, ie. 'What you resist persists'. Although initially it's helpful to build up an association with disgust everytime you think you want a cigarette and cement that thought process into a habit through persistent repetition. Regular exercise in tandem with this helps massively, and a clean diet. Eventually you'll feel great through these wholesome lifestyle changes, and that coupled with the disgust-association you've built up will soon make the very idea of a smoking seem appalling; you'll soon laugh at the absurdity of being controlled by such a strange and pathological habit

Very good question. Before I quit for the last time ( I had tried a number of times), I read an article that said the cravings typically go away after 2 years. It may seem like a long time, but there is an end point and it gets better as time goes by. To fight off the cravings I would conjure up a cigarette monster and fought with it rather then beat myself up for not having the will power. Just keep remembering that this is an ADDICTION not a habit and to end it takes work and willingness to stop it. YOU CAN DO IT!

I smoked from 14 to 35 years old, in the last years I smoked an average of 30 cigarettes a day (1 pack and a half). I gave my life to Jesus, and I felt the need not to smoke or consume alcohol anymore, with the alcoholic drink it was overnight, I threw away what I had of beer and cachaça at home... ! I agreed with my wife to try to smoke the least amount of cigarettes I could in one day so with a lot of effort on my part I smoked 12 cigarettes, for one week she gave me 12 cigarettes every day for me to consume, the other week it was 11 cigarettes a day day, the other 10... and each week it decreased by 1 per day. everything was going well, until it reached 4 cigarettes... I started stealing cigarettes from her, and ended up smoking 7, 8 cigarettes a day. until one day that during a prayer I was sincere to God, and said that I couldn't stop smoking and that I didn't really have the strength and that I really wanted to and asked God to help me and take the pleasure of smoking from me... One day inside the church during a preaching that a pastor was doing, I heard a voice speaking in my ear clearly; - "So far I've let you try, to show that you're not capable. From today you don't smoke because I don't want to! I was so scared that when my wife told me what I had heard, she saw in me a frightened and admired person, who started to cry because she saw that I was not delirious. Upon leaving the church my car had been broken into and my documents and my wife's documents had been stolen, along with the vehicle's sound. But I knew that if I got over that nervousness and anger I felt at seeing my car like that I wouldn't smoke anymore (it was like a test to confirm my convictions in the voice I heard). I called my wife and we went home , I took everything I had connected to tobacco ( tobacco , paper , lighter , matches , cigarette pack ....) I put it on a piece of paper and rolled it up we went to the street, and on a sidewalk I threw alcohol and I prayed to God; - Lord, trusting the voice I heard today I know that I will no longer feel like smoking, in Jesus name I set fire to all these elements linked to cigarettes! And by the honor and glory of God I was freed, in the name of Jesus! Vinicius Cruz. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qqaFo5eDqJy4Y7w.html&ab_channel=Vin%C3%ADciusCruz

Quite honestly, nicotine is a very strong addiction. It should be handled as an addiction. Inpatient treatment first, meetings, counseling. We treat smokers with "aides" and send them home to do it on their own. Do we do this with cocaine addiction? "Here ya go, here's some replacement drugs, go home and use them." An addict is going to go home with good intentions and then use nicotine.

Jeff. I'm 62, I started smoking cigarettes in 1976. That's 46 years of being a smoker. I caugh. I'm really worried about my breathing. I get shortness of breath. People can see that and always comment that I should quit and while Caughing my head off I raise my hand and tell em you're right, I need to quit smoking and that I have the patches and the nicotine Lozenges and Gum for sessation but the Nicotine Addiction is so strong I still smoke while wearing a Patch. When I woke up this morning I had one cigarette in the pack and I smoked it. That's been over 2 hours ago. I haven't wanted another because I'm still Caughing now for 2 hours and I'm scared that my Lungs are getting worse. I'm trying to convince myself not to buy another pack of Cigarettes so my Lungs can heal and so I can Breath Easier. Thanks for stepping up Jeff. Thanks for your Candor. I'm looking for inspiration. You got this, it’s mostly psychological. I quit cold turkey and you just gotta get passed a couple days and it’s downhill from there. Everyone is different so I don’t know what your withdrawal will be like and you smoked a lot longer than me, but whatever it is you can get through it, I promise. Just got to be tough with it. I tell myself I’ve made it through so much in life that I can get through this too, I tell myself not to be mentally weak, fuck it, it sucks but this too shall pass. 62 is that age where things get scary health wise, so it’s best you just quit, I believe in you.

Not good still smoking quit for 3 months then was hit with family crisis I was actually starting to watch quit smoking videos to phyc myself back into quitting now that stuff has calmed down
Somebody suggested to me some years ago I try the combo of whiskey and cigars.

Great Story God bless you sir🙏👍
It's been fourth day without a puff.. Feeling so easy physically and mentally.

I smoked for about 17 years. No one told me to smoke, I was depressed, I lost my mom so I started with self destructive behavior. I'm finally quiting. I'm 34 it's time to get rid of this .
I hate the sharp pains I get in my ribs and the coughing and waking up every night to smoke. I have no job to take up my time and spend all day smoking to avoid total boredom. Plus living with my 5 yr. old and my wife; the guilt is there constantly. I just want my freedom, if I knew wanting to look cool as a teen would end up like this I can't say I would have started to begin with
This is inspiring. I've been addicted to nicotine for 15 years, I'm struggling to quit. I went from cigarettes to vaping, which is almost worse because I vape more often than I smoked. I'm throwing out the stupid little nicotine pods, I'm tossing the vape. It has to stop. Thank you for sharing this.

It’s all mental
Finally someone who gets it..thank u
thank you.
I had my first cigarette @18. Then became a regular smoker @21. I been smoking for 19yrs & I'm finally acting on quitting. Today is day 3 no cigarettes, I'm learning how to sing & I need to be able to breathe as well as have no damage in my throat. I just hope I stay passionate about singing cuz I might start smoking again if I don't.
Cheers to life. Celebrating 14 years here.
I read Allen Carr's book! Fantastic!
Awesome video thanks
Thanks for that😎
Ty for this video
I’m very early here, but it’s been almost 24 hours cold Turkey. Had a scare and went to the ER. Threw out my cigs today. I’m just trying not to think about it. Even just over 12 hours my heart rate is so much better
i stopped cold turkey

25 years for me. For the last 2.5 years I switched to JUUL. BIGGEST mistake! It was too assessable and easy to do. No smell. No stigma. etc. I was vaping in bed. Every min of the day while working from home. My blood pressure was 170/120. Almost stroke level. Now been 2 days vape free and my BP is normal. Using mini lozenges for now but I'm done. Have to! It's all mental. you have to really decide to be done with it forever.

Very true
I am 67yrs old and I have been smoking for about 50yrs .I had been hospitalized with COPD and didn't smoke for 3 months. Again picked up smoking around 15 days back. From today evening I have planned to quit again.please pray 🙏 for me.god bless us.
How did you quit great video.I think same way
I am on the 6th day of my quit. I am 58 and had been smoking since I was 15. A bad bronchial chest infection got me to finally call it a day. Unlike past attempts to quit, this time has been relatively painless. Probably because when the threat of permanent and debilitating conditions like emphysema become real, it provides real motivation.

@@Ang33335 Thanks for your thoughts. I am now on the 11th day of my quit. My chest infection has cleared up and this is when attempts to quit can become vulnerable. When you feel good again you can lose touch with why you quit in the first place. I am not going to let that happen. Best wishes with your own quit. It will be worth whatever you are going through right now. A good source of motivation and wisdom is whyquit.com Joel Spitzer has been involved in smoking cessation since 1972.

Smoked 40 years until 57 , I new it was killing me so I just stopped 6 weeks ago and I can’t even stand the thought of a cigarette 🚬 can’t believe I poisoned my self all those years.
Been smoking/vaping for 3 to 4 years…if this old guy can push through it after 35 years I can too haha ‼️🙏🏽
My sister in law just died of lung cancer at 56. She died 2 weeks after diagnosis and smoked until she died. Left a 10 year old daughter behind.

Vaping makes it fun and easy. I smoked for 40 years and now vaping for 7 years. It took a few months to find the right setup and flavor for me but well worth it!
40 years old, smoke 2 packs of menthol a day now, smoking for 29 years. I have a huge fear because of my symptoms that I'll be the one to have a hole drilled in their throat and have to talk through a voice machine.
I can relate to your story. I believe I may have cancer or heart disease but I'm too scared to go to the doctor., and I just keep lightening up. How did you quit. Did you just do it or did you have some kind of medical help?
I’m 24 and going up the stairs is sometimes hard and I have decided to stop I caved a couple times in my cravings and after I had my cig I felt guilty and I have realized that i need to stop before I have kids, now I watched a few smoking videos I feel that it is easier for me to stop now
So true wonderful me 55 years i got do scared. I felt i was bungy jumping with out a rope.
smoked for 98 years..Now I am 118 20 years clean!!💪
When we are baby's we feel security when sucking. To suck brings comfort and security. The act of suckling is what smokers seek in a cigarette.. comfort, security, hope. Everything we felt as a child on our moms breast. We have to slowly take a baby away from this through soothers. The soother and the cigarette share the same space
I have been trying to quit for months now. I give it up for less then a day by the end of the day Im buying a pack it’s fucking pathetic… today I am done ✔️ im done buying an early grave. For me, for my wife and for my kids. I want to buy a house and live my full life again and im just fucking done. … wish me luck 🍀
I’m 21 and have vaped for about 2.5 years now I quit a couple days ago, my grandmother smoked and passed away from lung cancer, I don’t want the same path.
Been smoking 15 years and Im on day 2, I'm using the nicotine gum I had from last time I tried to quit. Really hoping this sticks this time. I'm definately craving the urge to go and buy a pack....
As if not being able to Breath very well isn't enough!

I am really looking to quit... My room smells bad, my clothes and hair just stinks of smoking, my teeth have began to be stained yellow by the nicotine.. Even walls in my room have been getting yellow tint... I just hate it so much... But problem is that when i dont smoke i dont know what to do with myself.

replace the routine/habit cigs, e.g. when you wake up, every smoker has that morning cig lol instead of going for a cig, maybe go for a 10-15min walk
Six weeks clean after 35 yrs.of smoking.I am 60 years old l am determined not to pass this down to my precious grandson.
I have a very deep seated nicotine addiction. I really want to stop, especially seeing as cigarettes are now 66 dollars a packet here in Australia, indexed to rise by 2.66 every 3 months forever... But the struggle of withdrawals is terrifying.. im not giving up on giving up though. I saw the struggle my grandfather had with emphasema in his last years, and definitely don't want the same fate.
my husband smoked three packs a day from 15 years to 59 he got bladder cancer directly caused by smoking
I quit on 2019 sep 12. Never been better
2 weeks in .. Wish me luck
I'm trying to from today. Any straight forward guidelines?
For anybody who wants help even if you fall off the wagon get back on it is a struggle for life it's best to quit for life put someone down because they they have a cigarette
My mom died yesterday as a result of smoking. Me and my wife are quitting tomorrow. My mother was only 56 years old. What a shame.
how did he quit?
QUIT is a bad word. Quitting implies giving up, or only losers quit the important tasks of life.. By terminating your nicotine addiction, your not quitting anything. Smoking is not important. The tabacco companies probably came up with the word Quit, the word is controlled opposition.

Wow! Thank you for this, it's so powerful to look at it this way. I am 55 and been smoking for 44 years, yesterday was my first day with no cigarette and I am not in a good place right now! I will erase that word "quit" from my mindset, I bet it will make a huge difference! Thanks again! :)
Where do we get this
How did you manage to quit?
I do understand the urge but I went from cigs to cigar to vape and the vape got me off and don't want to go back to either one
Smoked for 6 years heavy and I’m 23 years old now. This is my first serious attempt to stop and it’s tough. It’s like breaking up with a a toxic ex but I guess you’ve got to realise your addicted to the nicotine not the cigarette. If you was smoking a cigarette with no nicotine, you wouldn’t enjoy it as much would you?
