Thank you for this helpful video!! I have a question concerning the 2FA QR Code. I would like to set up the 2FA for me, but also for all the other users of the website. How can I do that? Simple enable the 2FA for all user roles and send the same QR code to them? Or will everyone need another QR Code? Hi great advice but after install I cannot seem to see my wordfence dashboard...any tips welcome.

I have the Wordfence Security (FREE Version) and I now have "The last rules update for the Wordfence Web Application Firewall was unsuccessful. The last successful update check was July 8, 2020 11:59 AM, so this site may be missing new rules added since then. You may wait for the next automatic attempt or try to Manually Update by clicking the "Manually Refresh Rules" button below the Rules list." error and I wonder what the fix could be. Thanks.

Great video. I'm using siteground and already installed WordFence without using the manual setting for the firewall. It says 'extended protection', does that mean it has worked or will I need to uninstall the application and redo it manually through siteground? Thank you!

Hi. Thanks for the video. I am shopping around for a security plugin for my sites. I currently have WordFence set up but have not configured it. It sounds like Wordfence is the best option. This was also recommended by my host. Security is not my forte. Are you by chance available to configure my Wordfence plugin?

Is free version of jetpack enough for blog? I tried to set up wordfence but it is quite overwhelming..blog takes no input data from user.. so it must be quite secure by itself don't you think?

Hi, could you explain why wordfence creating issues like The current scan looks like it has failed. Its last status update was more than 2 hours 59 mins ago. You may continue to wait in case it resumes or stop and restart the scan. Some sites may need adjustments to run scans reliably. Click here for steps you can try.

Sometimes hosting can limit the operation time, if it's shared hosting you might not be able to fix that... You could try the sucuri plugin instead since it uses remote scanning. Also, ask your host if they do server side scanning, you may not even need a WordPress scanner in the first place in many situations.

Hello Alex, I followed your instructions and I'm getting a "server state alert". And in results 1 path was skipped for the malware scan due to scan settings Type: Skipped Paths . I have no idea what to do with that as I am quite a neophyte ! Can you help?

Hi, what hosting are you using? You might not even need to be using WordFence in the first place (your host could already be doing it)

Go to the file manager of your host, rename the wordfence folder under wp-content > plugins

You also may need to select a different server configuration in order to complete this step, but wait for a few minutes before trying. You can try refreshing this page." What does that mean? Did something not work correctly?

Russ Tanner siteground is a good shared host - they actually already manage a firewall and malware scanner for you on the server side (to protect everyone on the shared server) if you still want to run wordfence, just use the scanner feature - the firewall just adds load to your site. Really though this plugin isn’t necessary on siteground, they have you well covered.

@@IdeaSpot I have three sites that were infected with malware recently. That's why I'm looking into a separate firewall. If they have something in place, it might not have worked.

Can I use word fence with Shopify? Please let me know asap. I’ve tried to google but can’t find any helpful answers 🥺🙏
