On the subject of snakes, at the farmers market in the California city I grew up in, there was a guy who sold honey and had a menagerie of animals (birds, reptiles, etc.). He once asked my mother, without even recognizing the innuendo, “Do you want to see my albino python?” She replied in a mock coy tone “Right here??”

On the subject of things one’s mother says to the question ‘What’s for dinner/lunch/breakfast?’, one of my cousins asked my mother “What the are the breakfast choices?” My mom answered dryly “More or less.” 😆

Today I tested positive for HSV after having a horrible outbreak, and feel the same way you described in your interview.
