Worcester Pubs: Worcester pubs A-Z
Worcester (UK) is traditionally reputed to be home to more pubs (and churches!) per head of population than anywhere else on God's green earth. In 1910 the City Trades Directory listed 158 pubs. 100 years on, fewer than 100 survive and many others are either temporarily closed or under threat. This is an affectionate A-Z of those survivors plus newer additions and some from outlying areas, photographed and produced August 25th-27th 2012 by Bob Blandford (aka Bob Backenforth) for Worcester-pubs.co.uk and Bob Backenforth blog (bobbackenforth.wordpress.com)

Great video. The Barleymow.
The goodrest has a co-op on its car park now
The Albion, Berwick, Cavalier, Crown & Anchor, Fox, Halfway, Herry House, Lakes, Lansdowne, Star Bar all now longer pubs - either supermarket chains or flats sadly
Just counted 72 that I have been to in 30 years, first one was The Potter's wheel in about 82...sadly gone now
My opinion the horn and trumpet best pub in Worcester
Ha the lakes, my mate Sean used to take me there drinking. No lie he told everyone I was offered stolen goods the second I got to the bar. Swan know the landlord and I didn't buy one drink in that pub, sean was a hard bastard and would regularly throw people out for the landlord, hence the free drinks, this was 20 years ago mind.
