Fun bit about the conversation with Fourchenault, if you do the raids first, his dialogue changes since you dealt with Pandaemonium.

It's an optional dialogue from Varshahn but at one point he says he's happy for the aether source from the isle of haam, as if you'd not had one on hand he would've offered up an eye to open the gate.

Why does Zero's "come, let us replenish our aether." Sound so sinister 😂

"Can we appreciate the level of effort they've been putting into the animations?" It's ONLY yshtola I swear. Everytime she's on screen she's always doing 5 or 6 new custom animations while every other character has one or two. They know what they are doing.

The majority of the Garlemald saction had me increasingly inclined to kill the councilors and plant Julius as the new emperor.

With how much our boy has been through, he's probably the only person in Garlemald worthy of being emperor.

Zero is not just hungry, but thirsty as well.

The red moon's theme is suitably intimidating and desolate. The original snes version of said theme sounds like balloon animals fighting.

i think on the subject of "how does space work" its true that each shard is its own universe, otherwise thancred wouldnt have had to ask whether the First would die to the Final Days in 6.0

While this patch was short, I found it good for setting up what was going to happen next. Plus finally seeing that I was right about fighting Zeromus made me super happy, I've been wanting to fight him in XIV since I played FFIV around two years ago.

can I just say that I''m actually really happy that Woops hates Zenos as much as he does? I'm in the same boat of very much disliking him (I think he's very well written, but that's it), but some people in my FC really like him or think his actions are justifiable and want him to actually come back in some way, and it terrifies me.

I like the character but his actions are inexcusable. This reminds me of the "Emet did nothing wrong" discourse, it's possible to love well-written characters AND hold them accountable for atrocities they've committed. It's scary how many people lack the nuance to understand this though 😅
