What do you guys think about the Norco 10/12 Runners vs the Woom 1? Is it even worth getting a Norco 10 to try to get your kid on it sooner since its so small?

Nice video. I heard having the rear brake on the bottom of the chainstay helps prevent kids from kicking the brake, but it almost looks like it makes it easier to kick or get stuck on the brake. In your option what is better, rear brake on bottom or top (traditional) of the chainstay?

Thank you very much for your nice review! I saw some reviews said the rear brake in Woom 1 is scratching the little ones ankle, I guess it is because the location of brake is around the movement range of little foot when biking. Yedoo too too has the brake located higher which I think is out of the movement range of little foot so I have not seen any bad review on that, I am thinking to take Yedoo just because of this part. What do you think of this? Thank you!

Hi there, we have never had that experience with the woom 1 with 4 kids. In fact, ourt kids liked to rest their feet on top of the stays where the brake is mounted. When they rode bikes with the brake mounted on top like the yedoo, the would actual initiate the brake with their feet. However, all kids are different and perhaps some would hit brake with stride, we are just not aware of it. Other bikes place the brake here as well and we have not heard of kids hitting it in stride. We do know woom is re-designing the back end of the woom 1 and placing brake rearward and on top of a Y shaped stay which will eliminate both problems (hitting brake and no longer able to place feet on stays).

Do you recommend the Woom 1 or the Yedoo Aluminum for a 2 year old. I'm torn because of the steering limiter that can't be disabled on the Yedoo but I like that the seat adjusts higher.

foxycleotrixie woom1. Not only can you disable steering limiter, the brake is mounted under the stays, better stand over/geometry and a proper headset. You can always get a longer seat post for cheap should you need it.

george a they are very similar bikes and both excellent. Just check minimum seat heights match your little ones inseam.

Hi! Thanks for the super helpful video. I’m deciding between a Woom 1 and Woom 1 Plus for my soon to be 2 yr old for his very first bike. He will be two in two months but is quite big for his age; 99% percentile at over 37in height and 32lbs as of a few months ago. What would you recommend in your experience - go with bigger bike to allow for growth or smaller to build confidence but he will outgrow soon? Thanks so much for your content!

If he has a massive inseam for his age ( 15 inches or more) I would consider woom 2. However being so young and just starting the lighter weight and step-through frame of the woom 1 is probably the way to go.

@@TheBikeDads thanks so much! Do you mean the woom 1 + or the actual 2? His inseam is a little over 13inches. The website says max 14.5 inseam for the original and minimum 14.76 for woom 1+. I guess I’m just afraid of outgrowing soon!
