Attended his special lecture on vocal lesson yesterday and I am glad to learn that he has come to love his voice. I was smitten again with his vocal when he showed us how to use the many different source of voices, how to project your voice farther, his beatboxing skill, singing with tempo and when he showed a glimpse of his musical style of singing "Ave Maria". I went awe and felt it's such a waste we can't get to hear all that utilised in the right occasion. So far he's mostly shown us the vocal he uses for dance music. Now I can truly understand why he received the proposal to join musical first. He is really a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Listening to this again also makes me realise how true "Dolby Surround Power Vocal" title is on him. Also, this has always been on my thought - I love how soft his speaking tone is but when he sings that soft tone converts to a powerful tone. So far I've hardly met anyone like this before. Usually if they sing loudly, they speak loudly too but Y is really different. So full of warmth and affection when he speaks to people around him. I love your voice a lot, Y.

Why does this song has to end...he used vibrato at the end. That’s so cool. He’s able to show his vibrating vocal cord technique finally. If only it doesn’t have to end...ㅠㅠ

'시간이 달라서' 에서는 어긋난 타이밍을 가슴저리게 아파하는 남자의 모습을 보여줬다면, 이번에는 눈빛에서부터 서늘한 분위기가 보여서 색달랐습니다. 또 '시간이 달라서' 에서는 우유같은 중저음을 주로 썼다면 이번 'We all lie' 는 날카로운 가성을 많이 쓴 것도 좋았어요. 혼돈을 표현한 듯 깨진 빛이 흔들리는 듯한 배경, 광택 나는 올블랙 의상이 만들어내는 차가움과 너무 잘 어울리는 음색이에요. 역시 100만큼의 기대를 하면 150, 200을 보여주는 와이 다운 결과물이에요. 눈을 감고 온전히 노래를 느끼는 듯한 표정도, Y만의 'We all lie'에 몰입할 수 있게 만들어준 것 같네요. 그리고 영어라 가사의 뜻을 바로 파악할 수 없어서 더 와이의 표정, 목소리, 제스쳐에 집중할 수 있었는데 하나하나 뜯어보는 재미가 있었어요. 그리고 다시 가사에 집중하느라 한 번, 모두를 아울러 보는데 한 번 보다보니 울림 더 라이브만 벌써 세 네번을 봤네요. 아마 생각날 때 마다 여러 번 더 보겠죠. 개인적으로 좋았던 부분이 여러 개 있어서 남겨봅니다. 0:20 시간이 달라서 때도 느꼈지만 와이는 측면샷에서 카메라를 잘 안보는 것 같아요. 근데 저는 그게 오히려 더 좋더라구요. 정면이 아닌 곳에서 바라보는 눈빛은 어떤지 잘 볼 수 있어서요. 0:25 옷도, 배경도, 그리고 그림자도 블랙이라 조명에 비치는 얼굴이 너무 잘 보이는 컷이었어요. 입체적인 이목구비 덕분에 더욱 분위기있어보이기도 했구요. "Alright, it's a .. it's faker" 라는 가사를 부르는 타이밍이라 그런지 어쩐지 허무해보이기도, 한편으로는 서슬퍼렇게 날이 서보이기도 했습니다 0:38 shout it out, 소리치라는 가사와 함께 터져나오는 푸른빛과 와이의 날카로운 가성. 그리고 눈을 감고 노래부르는 와이. 중간중간 손으로 제스쳐를 취하고 마이크스탠드를 잡아쥐는 게 너무 좋았어요. 제 심장을 잡아채는 듯한 느낌.. 0:58 "Is this really true" 라는 가사와 맞게 혼돈을 표현한 듯 흔들리는 배경이 인상적이더라구요. 그리고 정면을 정확히 바라보면서 눈 찡긋 하며 노래부르는 와이는 더 인상적.. 그리고 측면샷으로 바뀌는데 정면을 바라보는 눈빛이 단단해서 다시한번 죽을뻔했어요.. 너무좋아서 2:17 와더라는 코러스 맛집이라면서요? 화음넣느라고 뒤에 깔리는 코러스도, 애드립 할 때 뒤에 깔리는 코러스도 너무너무 좋았어요. 그리고 하늘을 보는 듯 위를 향하는 시선 덕분에 그림자가 잠깐 비껴가서 얼굴이 완전히 눈에 들어오더라구요. 그 때 보이는 얼굴이 극락이라서 지금 천국 온 줄 알았습니다. 2:38 단연 이번 와더라의 하이라이트. 진성으로 질러주는 애드립에 소름이 쫙.. 와이를 중심으로 빛이 터져나오는 듯한 배경 덕분에 한번 더 소름돋았습니다. 근데 2:50초 때 눈 감고 노래부르는데 그게 너무 귀여워 보였다면 너무 콩깍지일까요 ㅎㅎ 토끼가 노래부른대요 3:08 기타리프만 남아서 비교적 뒷배경 사운드가 정적인데 그 때 와이가 꽉 차게 가성 애드리브 넣어주는게 너무 좋아요. 가성이지만 단단한 목소리 덕분에 전혀 소리가 빈다고 느껴지지 않았어요. 오히려 이 부분에서는 기타리프만 있어서 다행이다라고 생각했어요. 와이 목소리가 더 잘 들리니까요. 무대위에 주어진 장치는 스탠드 마이크 딱 하나 뿐인데 전혀 허전하다거나 빈공간이 많다고 느껴지지 않았어요. 와이의 목소리, 제스쳐, 표정만으로도 무대가 가득 차게 느껴졌습니다. 또 노래를 부르는 눈빛이 어떤지 눈을 감을 때는 어떤 표정을 짓는지 손끝 하나 표정 하나 관찰하느라 3분 남짓의 영상이 짧게 느껴지더라구요. 달달한 사랑노래가 너무 잘 어울리는 밀키스같은 음색의 소유자라고 생각했는데 이렇게 서늘한 가사를 뱉는것도 너무너무 잘 어울린다는 것을 이번 와더라 보면서 알게됐습니다. 또 어떤 장르, 어떤 분위기의 노래를 부르던 와이만의 스타일, 분위기로 완벽하게 소화해내겠구나 하는 믿음도 생겼어요. 울림! 와이 솔로앨범 맡겨놨어요 내주시면 안될까요❤️ 다양한 장르의 노래를 와이의 목소리로 즐기고 싶어요❤️ 솔로앨범이 아니더라도 이런 노래 할 기회가 많았으면 좋겠어요❤️ 평생 골드니스 곁에서 노래해주기❤️ 항상 응원할게요 성윤오빠❤️ #woollim_the_live
