What a man...Rite of Spring AND Monstro the Whale. That's incredible. I wish they'd do a revival of this with modern Disney animators, like Glen Keane, Eric Goldberg, Mark Henn, and the Bancroft brothers.

In my opinion, the way how Woolie animated the t-rex in "The Rite of Spring" from Fantasia, it's more scarier than the t-rexes in The Land Before Time movies. And if you take a good look at the rex's incisor teeth, it almost makes him look like a vampire. Be kinda weird to see a vampiric tyrannosaurus rex.

It's great to see the work of Disney's Nine Old Men will never be forgotten and will never stop being appreciated. To discuss more about them search classical hand drawn animation.

As "The Duke of Artz" I am fully confident that Disney will, eventually, play these again when the time is right. 👌

Woolie also helped animate Goofy, as a lead animator under Jack Kinney.

Those rhinos and Cluck that Wolfgang Reitherman drew could be football players.

Yeah, but Robin Hood took place in the old days, where didn't have football back then. But you see how Lady Kluck knocks down all those Rhinos, it looked liked the game of football & that's when they invened football.

Sadly, in the interest of depicting Woolie as an animator of action, this program does not mention his animating Timothy Mouse in "Dumbo" or anything related to "Cinderella" or "Alice In Wonderland".
