A wood vice most of us can afford to make. Functional, practical, and low cost.. Brilliant..
I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great kzread.infoUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.
A ieșit foarte bine 👌 Îmi place cum este gândită ✌️
For cheap material and limited space. You did a nice job. Sure it is a light duty vice but you can use it to make a nicer one easy. I am sure your next one is/or will be real nice.

I don't think I will make a new one soon because I'm satisfied with the one I already made. But sure, next one will be a lot better 👍 Thank you for the comment 🙏

Nice work, what type of lazer engraver do you use?

Today I have a 40w co2 laser. In this video I used the cheapest 2.5w laser from aliexpress. I sold it meanwhile.
Salut Daniel..

I don't understand how at 10:44 turning the handle pulls open the vice. What is pulling the outer jaw out as you turn? Why isn't the rod just coming out by itself? How is it pulling the wood with it?
Güzel çalışma Çevirme kolunun geçtiği yeri neden zımpara yapıp düzleştirdiniz? Dişliye sıkıp sabitleseniz daha iyi olmazmı
What's that finish you applied on 11:04? Is that oil?

@DanielH

@DanielH

Hey Daniel, loved your video. ?? Question ?? What did you use to burn your logo onto the vice?

Hello there and thank you for watching. Back then I had the cheapest diode laser engraver available on AliExpress. Now I have a big co2 laser cutter and engraver and some small diode lasers. You can see them in my latest videos. 👍

Excellent job.... the only thing I would suggest is place two spacers or washers to separate the steel T and wood..

Make a washer between the T-piece and the jaw, it's better by pressure.

@DanielH

I know
At 11:50 you can see how the outer jaw of the vise distorts as soon as pressure is applied, rendering the vise basically useless if the jaws do not remain parallel. This vise would not apply sufficient pressure for anything other than very light work.

Haters gonna hate. This vice will grip a piece of wood very hard, and I'm certain will do the job needed. Daniel's putting a lot of force on that wood at the end of the video, it's not going anywhere. Are you chopping wood in your vice?

@@DanielH The work was good. But he has a point. I find with alot of this fast motion videos, that they dont work well with DIY projects. As a lot of the detail as to why a specific piece was made in a specific way is lost in the haste of getting a lot of work time into a small video time.

@@craigbuchan316 I tend to agree but I played it at Half speed to understand more. It would have been nice to either hear or see text on the Materials being used.. example- I though at first he was coating the wood with varnish...until he used it on the Screw assy. Oil? UPDATE.. Just saw the same question asked .. Linseed Oil... Nice!
Sloppy work.
