Woodturning - The Silver Stump

Here I make a Vessel from a gnarly root ball cast with epoxy resin coloured with antique silver mica powder ..
I think the root was from a Spruce tree which must have had dirt and stones embedded in it, as the inside was brutal to try and hollow out. The walls are a lot thicker than I would have liked but I think it turned out quite cool in the end ..Thanks for watching.

Hello Andy. I handwork metal and my last project was an antique axehead and handle. I spent 5 days, not hours, hand polishing a rusted out 120 year old axehead with steel wool and mineral oils. When the sun shines on it people swear its translucent. I know it is but I don't need to swear. The peace these silent moments bring me are what gives a life substance. When I watch you create, I'm proud to be part of your species.
