My grandfather built a marble roll in the 1920's somewhat similar to this. His was significantly better though. The marbles went down the first shaft and instead of being stopped and falling, it contacted a curved piece of leather which did not slow the marbles down and sent it on to the next wooden shaft. At the end was a round metal tin box that the marbles were stored in. The sound that the marbles made when they all landed in the tin was magnificent. We had a blown decorative piece of glass that we would use to back up large groups of marbles then let them go as a group. My Gramp's was a master woodworker born in 1888 and I am 72. I am so excited to bring this to our family reunion this summer to introduce it to our young grandchildren to play with. This is a nice build but no where near as good as our families antique. No offense. Thanks for posting your video, much enjoyed.

Wow - real classy. Dumping on the displayed project and then proceeding to give us an unsolicited history lesson on your family which has nothing to do with the video. An alibi "no offense" isn't going to change that this really was a move of terrible social grace.
This is awesome! Do you have plans for it? I wasn't seeing any on your links.
