Woodblock printmaking
I use Japanese sakura cherrywood block 11x16 cm, pottery round turntable, and Japanese cutting knives.I tested the limits of lines and smaller details. There will be no prints for sale. The story behind this image is a vintage Latvian movie scene where little guy Sprīdītis, takes down the devil.

hi, I'm from Latvia, wood came from japan- Sakura is a cherry tree. wx30.wadax.ne.jp/~woodlike-co-jp/zen4/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=102_122
Thank you so much for these videos - they are so peaceful and really motivate me to do my own art!! Always love watching them. Do you use woodcutting materials for your lino pieces too?

I use exactly the same tools as I'm carving lino or wood. Only technique is slightly different.
The tiny details are amazing. You must have eyes like a hawk! I've seen wood carvers use metal stamps for texturing pieces. It wouldn't work for lino (I don't think) but maybe it would for woodblock prints. Like a stamp for your autograph or something.
I have the bell on and everything, but just now saw this video come up. 😩
Beautiful. How long did this take to complete and the large scale linos you do. They are amazing.
hi there. I liked and subscribe to your channel. love your talent
Wow!
Amazing.............. ^^
Bro this work is awesome u can tell me what kind of materials use ?
such a unique piece you're very talented! could i know what ink you use?
Respect greeds from vienna
Can I ask you, where did you buy that amazing sharpening stone?
just came across this channel. cool shit, dude. really dig your ink as well. i bet you get asked all the time, but how long did all your tats take?
respect 💯
Just received two prints from you the other day. They are beautiful Emil! I inquired about you possibly using Bob Dylan as a future subject. / commission? Your imagery invokes the mystical storytelling I hear within his current music.
Great work, great music, not sure about the devil having nipples.
Incredibly rare music.
Do you think acrylic paints good for this type of work? Or black gesso paint?
Just subscribed

as I'm seeing Society lead, controlled totally manipulated as if really knowing something, love that Pied Piper
Hey, can I ask you please, that wheel that you use for rotation, how is it called? whats this? :D amazing. thank you
I love the process, but I keep thinking there has to be something with more artistic potential to do with it. Anyway, I appreciate the care it took to present this.
AMAZING!!!! You are magic! Thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece! Just one question: are you self-taught or did you have a teacher? Thank you 🙇♂️🙌🙇♂️

Like this joob!!!)
Nice work, although I think the man’s clothing could’ve had some crosshatching rather than being blank
😳😳😳🤔👍👍👍
Я тебя люблю
I dream of watching about how you tattooing people
Viéndote hasta el diablo baila.
Hello,
Good working but picture is very bad and pathetic
This is annoyingly over complicated. Just draw in the wood and carve it. Stop trying to make love to the thing.
Hey - sorry if this has been asked before, but I am really curious what you stain your wood with before you start cutting. Is it watered down acrylic paint? Thanks so much, I adore your work and your videos. :)

Yes, i'm using acrylic ink, but not from the tube (* it leaves a thicker layer of ink and it suck for small details) but in liquid form, I found this ink in my local art shop '' Liquitex acrylic ink''
