More beautiful plum wood. In this wood turning video I am turning a plum branch into a wine glass goblet.
I gave the cup section a concave shape for a different look with a ledge on the stem and a rustic base. I love this plum wood. The color contrast in this wood is beautiful.

Friction polish is finish I use.

How did you over come the cracks in each end grain?

The one end toward the top I removed the cracked portion. The bottom end toward the chuck was only surface cracks. So by the time I parted it off the cracks were gone.
