Another eggcellent video Mike & well done for going on stage when you may not be feeling or looking your best. The show must go on! Also intrigued by your expression 'You Tube educated' when it comes to turning. It seems a very appropriate medium for learning by watching, practising & then learning by watching again (& sometimes again and again!). With practice one begins to understand better the skill or technique. There's also the huge benefit of people sharing a huge variety of projects on which to work. It speaks volumes for the wood turning community that so many are willing to share. Thanks to all those that do.

Hello Mike, Great to see you back on form. I enjoyed watching this project very much especially your skew work. I watched Brendan Stemps recent video on the skew twice and yesterday I tried to apply what I had learned from him but unfortunately with mixed results. I'm glad more and more people are starting to appreciate yew as it has all of the qualities a wood turner likes, e.g. easy to turn, figuring and colouring full of surprises, takes a great finish etc. Best wishes, Alan.

Great job Mike your mum would be proud. This project raises the age old question what came first the wooden egg or wooden chicken? Brendens skew video was great I am much more comfortable with the skew after watching his video. I would love to get a piece of yew on my lathe. It looks to be a great wood to work with. Happy to see you back at it. You have been missed! Oneway says hello and sends his best wishes. Thanks for your effort. I appreciate you!

That is beautiful Mike, I think Yew is now on my wood shopping list. I am planning an egg cup for a friend of mine as a present. And I think I will mix the wood.
