She is in a league of her own. It doesn't matter what style she sings, she owns it. The more I listen to her the more convinced I get that she may be the best singer ever, male or female. And as a side note, her stage presence is phenomenal.

This whole concert from Tampere is awesome. And by the way about they are having fun on stage. If you watch some of the concerts from 18 their worldtour, they are really enjoying each other and corporating like no other bands. Toumas and Floor sharing red wine on stage, saluting Emphu with his beer. Floor invites Emphu to dance with her (and he runs off) 😂 in I want my tears back in several concerts. They are simply evolved into a family-like group teasing and having fun. The guys putting up the sign "wet floor" when they finish (it is a sign regarding a slippery floor after being washed, they borrowed👍) It was Floor herself that told the story about it - revenge ahead guys!!

In regards to what you said about Floor... I've commented before that Floor puts out very positive and life-affirming vibes when she performs. It's difficult not to feel good when you're watching her.

Back in 2012 i had the chance to get a journalistic photographer’s pass to one of their concerts, we were allowed i think 3 or 4 songs to take all the photos we needed at ground level, during the concert, between the actual stage and the bodyguards’ line to the crowd. I spent those songs with my elbows on stage, got some awesome pictures of Tuomas, Marco, Empuu and Floor, then i settled under Tuomas’s keyboards. That was an experience!

I was just about to suggest it. Just as groovy and even more upbeat than Walden, since the song has a more chill wholesome vibe whereas Alpenglow, especially the Wembley performance of it is definetly a pure energetic. But thats just a humble opinion. I wonder If the band ever performed Alpenglow right after Walden because it seems like such a natural progression. Anyhoo.... definetly Alpenglow for the next Nightwish serving... anyone else in for it?

I have to agree with you. Ever since a certain someone joined the band, they seem genuinely happy all the time. When they come near you next year, see if they're doing the meet 'n greet thing. The tix are more, but you get to meet them. I love this song too. They have a few of these "happy" songs on the EFMB album. It was really nice.🤘👍

The whole EFMB album is much brighter and generally deals with bigger picture themes (greatest show on earth is the epitome of that) which really makes you think that Tuomas is in a much better place mentally and a lot happier

I've grown to love this song, especially the breakdown when Marko switches to guitar and the rhythm slows. Very groovy, and of course you picked up on it. It's a simple song, and makes you feel good. Your reaction makes us feel even bet. Another good one!

React to Nightwish - Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean (Live Bloodstock 2018)

It's a good thing that all the songs are my favorites from the 3 DVDs with Floor. So I can just sit back and enjoy any of them with you. Because I know it will be awesome! And then there's the Bloodstock 2018 festival too. I need to count how many songs that is from just these 4 shows alone. It must be at least 40! 99% of the bands are happy if they can release a Best of Album at the end of their career. Not Nightwish though. Oh btw.! I just ordered yesterday the Endless Forms Most Beautiful TAB Book, among some t-shirts. Yeah, I will try to learn the songs on guitar and have even more fun with this band. I already checked out a few axes, as I had to sell my old Ibanez, when I was in a bit of a money trouble. Good times are still rollin' on! I just love this band.

I found a guy called Olly The Rock who is also reacting to Nightwish on KZread. It is funny because he reminded me of you but older and more composed as a result. But you both have very similar mannerism when reacting to Nightwish. :)

Wonderful reaction today my friend. This is such a fun song. They are happy and they have been that way ever since Floor and Troy came into the band. I think a big reason is there are no egos. Tuomas may be considered the leader because you have to have one. But everyone has a say or can present a song or a way of doing something. Plus Tuomas set it up where all the band members get an equal share of the money. I have a friend that I have met through my travels through reactor channels. Her name is Denise Hofs. She is the one that translated all the Beste Zangers shows into English so all of us would understand what was going on. She did not ask me to say anything, but she would like you to react to "Bless the Child" from Wacken 2013. Thank you and I have got a big smile on my face today.............. :-)

@@fdsannie Commitment. I think their previous singers thought they were above all that. Floor just gets stuck in without moaning. They seem like a real family. It's a joy to be even remotely associated with them. I haven't felt like that with other bands I've been into.

Both projects are amazing. My first listen to the full Auri album put me in the most tranquil emotional place I've ever been. 'Life and Times of Scrooge' put Tuomas into rarified air among composers, truly a masterpiece. Both projects I recommend as full listens, the totality of each is greater than the sum of their parts.

Troy singing in the old Welsh tongue and sounding great I might add. You rarely hear his back up vocals to Marco and Floor when they are at it (no surprise is anyone going to be heard over those two!!). Another great Folk Metal tune thanks to Troy and he has added so much to this band and expanded their range and presentations. Here is hoping that he gets some time on the new album along with Emppu getting at least a few solos too. We know Marco and Floor will be featured very prominently for sure. Tuomas's smile is like the Chestershire Cat, ... that evil genius look of "This is my band are you kidding me...how hard is it to perform with these guys". The band looks and sounds so tight, a lot of that is experience but also they truly enjoy playing with one another and seem to get along great together. Hey come on can't everyone play 5-6 instruments and switch between instruments in a song , oh and also sing vocals..These people can give you a severe inferiority complex if they weren't such nice, fun, non-diva people.

A couple days ago Floor posted that she was in Helsinki to film a video for one of the songs of the new album, this are her words: " It’s unlike anything we have ever done before and I am enjoying the process of making this very much! It’s really something else! And I really can’t say anything more...I know...I’m sorry! " Can you imagine how intrigued I am ? Can't wait for that album to be published. The fact is that one of this days, in a near future, we will see this guy reacting to " the new Nightiwish video"...

When you paused to look at the people in the stadium ,Tuomas' bottle of wine was visible. And I say this because we are used to see musicians drinking water and beer, Freddie Mercury had bottles of beer on his piano, and glasses of beer all over the stage, some other smoke while playing the guitar... but the good Tuomas has a bottle holder built into the keyboard 's support. It's obviusly made on purpose for that. In the last tour, Decades, they used to have a glass of wine with Floor I don't remember during what song. She used to go where he is and he poured some wine in the glass and they had a good moment there, while Marco was saying some of his goofy things to the audience. I remember that in the docummentary " learn the setlist in 72 hours " they talked something about a Nightiwish wine, am I right ? Well, as always your reactions are one of the best. You make me laugh so much. And I feel like you, when I see Floor... I go crazy !!

The Devil and the deep dark ocean at Wacken 2018, you must react to that one.

Love love love this song, Im so glad youve finally listened to it! It has become one of my favourites from the endless Forms Most Beautiful album......thats one hell of a hard choice! Someone else has suggested The Siren, with Tarja from the end of an era dvd, and i would concur with that. Or You could also do Stargazers from Tampere and watch Floor perform a Tarja-era song to perfection (it had been off the setlist for 10 years but they brought it back), or even Sleeping Sun and you can do either Tarjas performance from end of an era, or Floors at Tampere :) Basically, what we're all saying is keep the reactions coming! :)
