Wonnie Portable DVD Player | Why this is a MUST HAVE item Today | PSA
As the days go by in the Post Apocalypse world, we start to realize how important entertainment is today. I did not realize it until my mother was hospitalized for almost a month now.
I am bored at home alone most of the time. She is alone, stuck in bed without any family of friends being permitted to visit her. She tells me she has nothing to do & cannot read & can't converse for long periods.
That is when it hit me. She needs entertainment. We ALL need entertainment. This little device, a Portable DVD Player is the perfect thing & something Every household must have right now. Movies are one of the greatest past times, if you are not a gamer.
This model is perfect, especially for the price. It's on amazon & usually goes for 160$ for the 16 inch version. The screen is about 14 inches. It's very bright, sharp & great color once you set it up & configure it. I put all the visuals at Max. The audio is very decent or you can plug in head/ear Phones (not included)
It comes with a power cable & a built in battery that actually lasts for 3hrs. Most other ones last half of that. The Screen rotates 180 degrees from the left side. It is light enough to not be a bother & large enough to have an amazing picture.
Other options include USB 2 compatible for USB sticks & SD cards. Audio visual cables are also included, but of course no HDMI support.
The only negative that I can say is that the buttons have these LOUD hard presses that you will definitely notice. Remote control is included but is ridiculously small. But all the needed buttons are on the player itself.
All in all, a solid Portable DVD Player from WONNIE for the price 160$

Great idea Gigga. You never know when you're in a situation, where this would be handy. It would also be useful, if you lose power during that awkward time when it's too early to go to bed.

Hey it's the Gregorian! Yes it is a great way to pass the time when we cannot do anything & this brand comes with a battery that lasts for 3hrs or more. My mom is definitely profiting from it right now.

@@GiggaVega Unfortunately, with that battery life, you can't even finish the LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring - Extended Edition.
shame portable blu ray players are expensive

Thanks for the well wishes Ivan. She is still in the Hospital. It is a very handy thing to have for sure. It also has a 3hr battery life.

I have a portable DVD player but my has a battery issue
When I was younger a friend of mine had a portable DVD player and that thing was sick for movie nights

They are very handy, this one even has a USB slot so there is a lot you can do with it, especially for the price.

@@GiggaVega Thank you so much. Wishing her well. My husband figured it out. It seems it takes longer to charge in the car but it will charge it some. We just had an ice storm and lost all power. It sure came in handy. 😅
My old Samsung BD-C5500 Blu-ray Disc Player broke down so I was looking to get a new one. I was wondering if this is able to play DVD's at full screen when changing the aspect ratio. And I'm specifically talking about old TV shows that were originally in 4:3 because I have a DVD player that's able to play DVDs in full screen. I was just looking for a bit of upgrade to that so I can get a blu ray player that can play both Blu-Rays and DVDs at full screen....At least for the most part. My old Blu-Ray player which broke down was able to do that.

Hey Kayen, thanks for watching. I don't know when I'll be able to get you that answer as I got it for my mom. I'll let you know when I find out. I'll test with my Frasier DVDs. I don't remember seeing options for AR though. I can tell you that it only plays DVDs not BDs. BD players are so expensive right now lol.

Hey Scott. I didn't have that issue. Maybe the lid of the DVD player is too tight. The motor might be at fault. Hopefully you bought it recently & can exchange it with amazon or get your money back. Good luck & thank you for watching :)

I have a problem with my one .when you repeat the disc it comes up repeat title but the icon stays on the screen all the time
