Actually, if memory serves, I'm pretty sure I've heard about some culture or another turning the bones of the deceased into weapons as a sign of respect but I may be misremembering. Either way, if you're going to make a flail out of something, bones which are literally indestructible would be a good choice.

fun fact : when he was created, he wasnt the strongest person in the whole universe, he was faster than a six shot revolver, more powerful than a steam locomotive and could only jump really high over buildings. its lazy writers later on that decided he would be a god with god like powers, then had to kill him to maintain some semblance of tension.

@@geebeepman They Tried That with the start of All New DC52. And the " Fans " *itching so much about that, they had to recon/ reboot everything. People/ toxic fans" .. that never really bought the comics to begin with were consent complaining about the 1990's and early 2000's comic series run. So DC threw out a whole new alternate reality universe, it started off good the the toxic fandom killed it. Then we got " Rebirth," and now the Progressives wreak Superman's family life, won't let Supergirl just be a teenage girl. Oh, .. also they in basic cancel the Only TWO Comics that had true content for grade school children. Namely * Super Sons.

@@bakfixx The art is fine. It's just really grim and gritty in it's style. It ain't David Finch or Jim Lee, but it's still wild, expressive and showcases the story's feeling and themes of dread, despair and lost hope fairly well. Not every comic has to look the same.

People seem to have this criticism of Superman of being a boring boy scout hero. How many boy scout heroes are there really? How many characters have retained the title of being the goodie two shoes hero? Superman has been dragged through the dirt so many times, by so many different writers: turned cynical, nihilistic, evil even; and yet through it all, he remains the prototypical "good guy." On the other hand, how many edgy anti-heroes with tons of emotional baggage are there? Heroes that struggle with the concept of right and wrong, who are constantly struggling with their own selfishness? Who leave a wake of suffering behind them, and go on a journey of redemption to make amends to quell their guilty conscience.

Actually, the few times they've "fought" in canon it was almost always under some kind of mind control/manipulation/amplification gimmick. So you’re saying WW can’t kill superman if she try’s ?

People are missing the point of the story. It's kind of a spoiler, but this story is an Elseworlds where the world went through nuclear war, mutants roam the land and Diana wakes up from cryogenic sleep with amnesia. It's revealed the war poisoned and mutated the Amazons and now they wanna wipe out the survivors. Diana, looking for Superman, finds his corpse and remembers the truth: humanity went to war with each other, nuked the Amazons and Superman was too late to stop it after trying to convince the world leaders to not do that. Diana is consistently shown in this story to be filled with rage that her bracelets control, but she removes them and fights Superman, literally destroying the world in the process. Diana killing Superman is shown as the catalyst for the world's demise. She killed him and in her rage injured herself severely. I get that people will bring up some other unrelated story about Superman winning or not, but that's not the point of the story. This is to show Diana's mistrust of humans at the start was misguided and that it's her responsibility to make up for her mistakes and defeat the Amazons now mutated and gone insane.

Writers just love to have Superman lose to WW and Batman. It's easy shock value because every time another hero beats Superman it riles up the geeks. Let me reference his powers through another comment. She's literally below him in all specs known to man and the only reason she wins the few times she does is because of eXpErIeNcE and FiGhTiNg sKiLlS. Honestly I feel that superman is more powerful than wonder woman but wonder woman is an experienced fighter. All superman can do is punch hard where as wonder woman could easily dodge. Think about it like this. Who wins on a fight a boxer (only allowed to punch: superman) or a MMA fighter? (Allowed to use every part of the body: wonder woman)

He was 10 seconds behind them. It doesn't sound like alot but the distance between both flashes and superman was huge

A couple things: 1. Superman’s kryptonian flesh wouldn’t decay even while dead, unless it’s the Kryptonite that made it decay 2. Can’t Kryptonians come back to life if their body is exposed to sunlight?

No Kryotonians aren't god , every time Superman brought to life is because plot of story. In comics Superman was already beaten brutally before he got multiple Kryotonite punches then he got Kryotonite punch through his chest.

Damn...This is one of the darkest "What If" tales DC has ever published! I LIKE it!

It is also explicitly stated to specifically affect him. Wonder woman is not as affected. Neither is Shazam. Or blue beetle. So yeah. Magic is one of his weaknesses. 😐

But like low key that’s one powerful flail. I can’t imagine getting hit buy the skull of the man that can bench press planets swung by a goddess that managed to kill him.

In the state he was (not even able to stand on his legs or speak properly) and knowing how mad and powerful Diana was, how could anything homd her off at this point? Without being mad and with morals on she ripped apart the Door of the Fortress effortlessly, and they are made out of titanium and thick af In the state she was in , even the defense system was affraid XD

It is well established by the writers themselves that dianas power level is not consistent. She has been weaker, stronger, and equal to superman. However, we must remember that power levels depend on what the character is supposed to represent. Superman sometimes represents the superhero community, and so is very brave in battle against stronger beings. However at other times he also represents greatest power, and in those stories he performs feats like moving planets, even though writers who focus on his ability to inspire might have already shown him having difficulty lifting mountains. So ww is a tricky character. Modern ww can fly but she still has an invisible plane. She can fight superman but still has bracelets which she famously used to deflect bullets. She also competed for the role of ww against the other amazons, all of whom were just unusually strong, immortal humans. Regardless, if she is as strong as superman, it actually makes superman redundant in the trinity as she predates him in the superhero community, having fought in ww2, and if she is stronger than he, and a human, what makes him special? He would just be a powerful alien wearing ww's colors. I think most would agree that ww cannot be as strong as superman but would definitely have superior combat trainng and access to magical weapons.

the art is very interesting, the faces looks weird, but the action is really great! its almost like a manga instead of a western comic. very kinetic and dynamic.
