Love all the little details they added to make Wonder of U still feel somewhat invincible The anti-grab passive, kneeling instead of being knocked down, just leaving upon being KO'd, not getting tricked by Joseph (he doesn't even lose meter) WoU is the epitome of a final boss character and the devs did him justice

@@nameynamd9212 well, I wouldn't say that requiem would be enterely separated, more so on a case by case scenario, for example chariot probably is completely separate from polnareff since his objective was to get the arrow away, but GER I don't think it's entirely separate from Giorno, although it says Giorno isn't aware of his ability when talking to Diavolo, I don't think it could separate like chariot did with polnareff. WoU is probably the embodiment of calamity or a very close manifestation of it, so it makes sense it doesn't have a personality or otherwise, it's sole purpose is to get people who chase him into the flow of calamity

The funny thing about Wonder of U insulting Josuke's hair is, it's probably (arguably) one of the only scenarios in which it could possibly lose lol. We know that when his hair gets insulted Josuke goes into a complete rage state where he literally can't even see anything, you could argue he has no "intent" when in that state, and thus would not trigger WoU.

Sadly, that logic doesn't hold with WoU, since Josuke absolutely has the intent to pursue the person who insulted his hair. If anything, that's why Gappy could be WoU and Toru and Josuke can't; Gappy has a far more level head, and even Josuke's "blind rage" wouldn't keep him from triggering WoU once he decides he's going to make WoU pay for the insult.

He's just as cool as I thought he'd be in action. Still bothers me that this doesn't truly show how terrifying and broken this stand is. It'd be amazing if they could create an SNK style boss around him and some of the characters just ungodly AI

Now I'm curious how Tooru vs Diavolo would go. Like DIavolo's fears, identity, and stand power all rally around trying to avoid calamity and change destiny. How terrified would Diavolo be of a person that outright controls the thing he's been trying to avoid for so long?

​@Brodyaga.12 In my opinion, fate was actually against him but it used an extremely convoluted way to punish him. Diavolo himself is an enigma even at birth, it's like he is something not part of the plan fate created. So in order to punish this unnatural mistake, fate itself gave him the mean to "dodge" terrible outcomes, but in reality, was only guiding him to the worst possible fate ever conceived. He didn't dodge fate, fate played him like a damn fiddle and used Giorno as the tool to fix this error.

Funny detail about Joseph "Guess your next line" counter. When it lands, it gives joseph 0.5 (half) of HH meter, and normally takes away the same amount for the opponent But against WoU, it looks like it doesn't lower his HH meter at all

The main problem, I think, was that it couldn't shield against an attack with two disparate attackers (i.e. Josuke and Yasuho, who were nowhere near each other at the time)? Likewise Touru just being immobilized didn't count as a pursuit, thus Kaato being able to properly eliminate him before calamity could recognize her.

​@SkyknightMu Kaato was able to kill Tooru because she had no intent to harm him, what she did was save Tsurumi from the curse which just so happened to also kill Tooru. Josuke and Yashuo were only able to beat Tooru because of their highly specialized abilities

the thing is that diavolo can slip up and not see something coming even if he can see the future, we saw it multiple times in the manga and anime. For example, in his first encounter against bucciarati in the end, he didnt realize that bucciarati wasnt trying to hit him but to hit the pole behind him instead to escape with his zipper, it shows that he can't entirely predict an opponent, especially one has complex and weird has WoU. Diavolo would be able to see an obvious calamity and dodge it with time skip... only for him to be hit by another one he couldnt see right at the moment he gets out of it, thats why to me at least its still an extremely unfair matchup.

Yes, you right, but in the end of part 5 Diavolo in Mista's body was "spamming" by time erasing to avoid every shot, falling trash, and there goes the fate, (i didn't read part 8) but think that fate always on Diavolo's side, but diavolo always was running from his fate...

Fuuya’s basically as close to kyo stand as you can get and yeah its either a “problem” for WoU or a Speedrun for quickest death by WoU. Live fast die hard highwaystar
