One thing I loved about Jack's portrayal here is the look in his eyes while Julian is talking. You can practically see the thought progression of "let it go, let it go, let it... nope, f$%& it!" just before he swings. Kudos to Noah Jupe for a great bit of acting here!

I once get in the fight because i getting bullied. The teacher slap me and told the bully to go to the class. And im the one who gets the punishment. Seeing jack hug mr brown after that is just warms my heart

jack is the most human of all the characters. he makes mistakes and learns how to deal with them yet still has so many emotions. he is definitely my favorite.

I have respect for Jack Will. Being with Auggie just helps us understand that their friendship will never be separated!

"After your two day suspension, your scholarship will be waiting for you." I just love that line. There's so much pride and approval from the principal when he said it out loud.

I love this scene because after Mr.Brown(Daveed Diggs) picked up JackWill(Noah Jupe) he started crying and needed a hug. He was probably shocked at what he had done and maybe how he even let peer pressure make him lose one of his best friends. Nope Jupe is an incredible actor and did this scene so well!

You can definitely tell the body characteristics that Julian has, to show that he is a bully. I mean, the leather jacket he wears, and the dull, black hair he has definitely makes him look like a tough guy!! It definitely convinces the audience that he is the main Antagonist of the story! I really love how the costume person established that depiction! This was genius what the director, writer, and the costume person did!! It was very creative, and lair!!

Something that just kinda sat with me after going over this clip again is the moment where Jack starts crying. I never noticed it before but he only really seems to break down after he hears Julian say, "I thought we were friends." And it may not be true, but after picking up on it I believe that he starts crying after hearing that because he finally understands that it must have been exactly how Auggie felt after hearing Jack talking about him "behind his back." And that to me, makes it an even more powerful showcase of empathy and understanding.

Noah Jupe at just 11 years old had already completely nailed the American Accent!

I've been rereading Wonder and this is one of my favorite scenes because it shows the true colors of so many of the characters. The scene where Jack Will starts to cry into Mr. Browne makes me think about how much of an impact this scene had on me personally and so many other people.

I cried when Jack cried

4 to 5 years later I'm here. I love how the teacher holding Jack didn't shout at him ( obviously he did a bit after) he just let him cry. When Julian said " I thought we were friends " I honestly almost cried and also the " It might get Julian in trouble too and that's not fair " such a sweet line " After your two day suspension, your scholarship will be waiting for you " that's the way to do it Mr tushman. Its such a sweet but sad film it's amazing. My favourite movie . Bless Noah dupe and all the characters

He really looks out for the students, Unlike mine in my old elementary school which always takes the side of the bully and calls the one getting bullied the bully

These children are awesome actors.

My daughter was sent home for choking a another girl out. She was in grade 1 at the time. I was proud of her and I lost it on the principal. I said to the principal, my daughter was being bullied by this student all year, she went through the proper channels. 1. She told the student to please stop. 2. She went to the teacher. 3. She spoke to the teacher about being bullied by this particular student and still nothing happened!!! After that, whatever my daughter did to her, it’s ok with me. That girl never bothered my daughter again!

That’s not my school at all. I remember i say I fight happen, then 2 of the school basketball players (centers btw, the tallest guys on the court) one pushed the dude off the other kid so hard he tripped and stayed down, then they helped the kid being pinned. I got a pretty good school
