One has to admire the strength and stamina of these women, I tried pole faulting in HS many years ago, the poles were a lot stiffer and without any coaching, I didn’t do very well...my respect and congrats to all.. thank you for the good coverage..

It is. It's one of those things where your concentration has to be through the roof and your technique has to be perfect too I might've got into this sport because I find the women incredibly attractive but it's a really cool sport as well

@abc z I think thees women genuinely like wearing these event uniforms and are proud of their sport bods. Many competitions are untelevised and not in front of audiences and they still wear their little suits.

Why aren't pole vaults and ramp jumps ever used in ancient war movies. Ive seen ramp jumps used to go over the walls of fortifications in some Asian documentaries and I imagine pole vaulting was also used to assault fortifications in ancient times.

Only with flexible poles they can jump this high. Male athletes with wooden poles used to jump, like, 3 m? Bamboo was helpful but not nearly as much as fiberglass and carbon fiber. Edit: On second thought, I guess a reasonable use of vaulting in ancient war movies would be for the purpose of avoiding horizontal obstacles (e.g., jump a stream).
