Serafin works in the neighbourhood of Polanco, in Mexico City. The area is well known for being one of Mexico's business and financial districts. Polanco has a lot of office buildings and skyscrapers.
There are a lot of businesspeople in this area who come to them to keep their shoes shined. Many people bring them high-end brands to shine. I don't have the high-end shoes, but I do have these cool white high heel shoes. Do you like them?
My white high heels were so dirty from the black polish of my other shoes. White is such a difficult color to maintain. White shoes can look dirty so easily, especially in the streets of Mexico City.
Serafin carefully painted and polished my white high heels and then polished the sole in black. He used tape to protect the soles from getting white paint.
It is the first time that a shoe shiner asks me to put plastic bags to protect my feet. I think this solution works well when painting shoes.

I haven't seen all of your video, anyway I saw you get your shoes painted most of the times. Have you ever tried to only use a brush, some beeswax and a 100% whool cloth? The result is amazing and the leather gets benefits. Of course it depends from shoe to shoe, but I would never get my Pradas painted. Nice video anyway 👍🏼 I like the fact you show the shoes shiners' stories and also glimpses of your city.

I think it is good to hear how the pandemic lock-downs affected people in other parts of the world. I live near the border and as bad things are in the US, I know people in Tijuana were hit hard by COVID-19 and were really suffering. Fortunately, there was some effort by the Untied States to make the vaccine available to the people of Mexico, but there were many who died, and of course, the down economy. Your videos have potential, I enjoy them. However you need to slow your transitions down, and you need to eliminate 75% of your transitions. Don’t be afraid to make much longer videos, and to record the person working on your shoes doing one thing and then finishing the process.
