    Thank you for another video. I’m waiting for that one video where you have perfected getting the retention screw back in an 8040N driven watch with a device that makes it easy. And include a link as to where to purchase said device. God bless.

    Can you tell me what the name of the tools I need to open the cover to replace the battery? Fossil ES 3434 is what I have and I ordered the 364 battery too. Thanks!

    Is there a secret trick to popping the rear cover back into place? Mine refuses to snap back closed, even when I apply a lot of pressure to it.

    There are presses for snap on case backs. You can get them on Amazon. Thats the only trick I'm aware of unfortunately

    I have a watch similar to that, the top glass part is coming off. Do I just pop it back in?

    Take it to a jeweler. May be friction held like most crystals but without a press you could chance it falling all the way off

    Not 100 but the screw on the southern part should need loosening then simply move gently out of the way. Slide battery out south. Replace battery in north side first then tighten screw

    Tommy Big Time! Do you have a recommendation for getting a snap back on without a press?

  • @TOMMYBIGTIME

    @TOMMYBIGTIME

    Sheer thumb power is how i do it most the time. But some you have no choice but to use the press. Can't use any other tool because more than likely you'll break the crystal or damage the case

    @@TOMMYBIGTIME I was afraid you’d say that. I don’t have a press, or the thumb strength. I tried a c clamp, with a watch tool to hold it but like you said, didn’t want to damage the casing or crack it

    I used a C clamp that was similar to the diameter on my wifes watch. worked like a charm. I must've been one of the lucky ones. Tightened it down until the pop...finito!
