The surname Mahuchikh comes from the word "mighty".
Another well edited video with great commentary. The obvious Paris choices are Mahuchikh and Olyslagers, but picking the other medal is difficult. Could be Topic, could be Geraschenko, possibly even Demereva. Nice to see Denereva still jumping at 34 years old and putting up good numbers. Would love to see her add a bronze to her previous silver.

@@qidongxu7339 half agree I remember Mariya's Dominance had been challenged by rising Mahuchickh back to 2021 Even if she was allowed to compete it's still hard to tell who will take Gold medal in Paris. Besides Mahuchickh there are still some contenders like Topic , two girls from Austrilia etc I'm looking forward to upcoming high jump events in Olympics :D

@@qidongxu7339 Lasitskene has been struggling to break 1.90 lately. She is injured or got sick or something. She did a few regional meets and looked like a shadow of herself.

Mahuchikh's technique was absolutely superb. Topic is improving though. In a couple years Topic might be on Mahuchukh's level.

Angelina Topic's coach is her father Dragutin Topic, who is the Serbian record holder at 2.38 m (15th place all-time), and also the current world junior record holder with 2.37 m, set in 1990 (meaning his record still stands 34 years later!).

Which Russian women? They're a bit thin on top level right now with Lasitskene being off her game lately. Some juniors look promising but they're not there yet.
