Tori Bowie was a gorgeous runner. She had such a smooth, flowing stride. I fell in love with her in 2016, but here, she just owns the track when she kicks into gear. RIP, Gorgeous Angel. ---------MJL, 76 y/o

While I am relieved that the US won this relay, the last exchange was far from being a work of art. It took that bloody long to get the baton into the hand of the anchor lane. I was really a bit worried.

Felix is 33 and will be 34 in November and a mum. Shelly is 32 and will be 33 this year and a mum. Both these women can win their final gold in 2020 I hope.

Allyson Felix is simply awesome. Great talent and a great performer over the years.

I think Tori Bowie was still accelerating when she crossed the line. She was absolutely flying.

No she wasnt, she just deaccelerated less than the rest of the field, they usually stop accelerating after 60m (or 70m if your name is Usain)

@Joyce Williams I also noticed that team coaches are keen on the 2nd leg of every 4x100m relay races, seems that where the tempo of the races are dictated....I rarely see Ahye (TTO), Schippers (NED), Allyson (USA), Asher-Smith(GBR), Elaine(JAM) missing the 2nd leg...........

I'm so proud and happy for Sashalee, I know her from GC Foster College. She did a nice job anchoring the Jamaicans, even though it wasn't a good pass she still managed to get played her part👍👍👍🤸
If Tori wasn’t actually the fastest on the field, that changeover would have messed her up. She gassed up only after she had fully secured the baton. Risky move if you’re not the absolute fastest. What a flex. Love Tori Bowie!

Bowie is. a world class sprinter. No runner can overtake her if she gets the batton first. She's another sprinting cheetah from USA.

She's a drama queen...a difficult person to get used to I'm told. The situation regarding her getting locked out of her athletic training village apartment because of past due bills and non-payments and her making a scene about it is a case in point.

Don't think so. You can't just assume that if she had a better start her finish would be just as good. They have a finite amount of resources and if more is used at the beginning, the end suffers. That's like saying if SAFP had a better finish, she would be a 10.5 runner. It doesn't work like that!

That last change over (USA) deffo wasn’t in the plan but I feel like sometimes the adrenaline from everything can throw it out the window haha. Regardless Torie put in another gear and went flying 👏🏿🔥🔥

Tori Boowie is like the seabiscuit the horse 🐎 wait for the competition to get closer and leave them in the dust with a blazing speed .
Neita (GBR) never leans. That can DEFINITELY be the difference between winning and losing. That's what happened in the women's 100m final, Bowie leaned and won, Ta Lou didn't and lost.

I look for Tori Bowie to regain her form in 2021.. Whatever personal drama that was going on in her life, I hope is behind her and she can bounce back to her 2017 form.

Jaeyeon Kim Elaine pulled out because she was 6th placed at the 100m and did not win a medal and was the only Jamaican to qualify for the final. And the Jamicans this not messed up the last change over it was actually the American who did with the 3rd leg and Tori. Fraser was out that year because she was pregnant.

@@archiewoosung5062 Unlike a standard 100m race, the second, third and fourth legs of the 4x100 have a running start, so their times are faster than a standard 100m sprint.

Dream Champions! United States Of America - Jamaica.
The slowing down at the last batton change over prevented US team from breaking the world record. What a miss! Bowie, Allyson and Akinosun were fantastic.
Tori looks pissed with the 3rd leg for not equalling her phase and handing the baton to her early. US almost disqualified again fo a shaky baton pass. But it was Tori’s year being the 100m gold champ and fastest time of that year to power away.

The time that Tori ran to win the 100m final was not the fastest time of that year. Elaine ran (jogged practically) that time in the semifinals earlier. Also, Elaine had ran 10.70 at the Jamaican trials earlier in the year.

Yeah. The baton change from 2-3 and 3-4 wasn't textbook, but our girls did well to secure a medal, especially this year when our usual firepower wasn't present.
Tori is soooo beautiful! And watching her run is like watching a gazelle...

Mike Jones she didn't make the team or the relay pool so she wasn't eligible. She ran the 100 at the trials but didn't make it out of the semifinals.

Kenneth Coleman I’m pretty she was apart of the pool as to why she was so upset at WC. She did an interview with Natasha Hastings before the relay was selected stating the team had not been selected and she was waiting to hear if she was on the final team. Not to mention, Allison Felix has been ok numerous relays, especially the 4x4, and had not run at the trials that Olympic or WC year
