मैथिल समाज मे 12---13 साल मे शादी कर दी जाती थी और पढाते लिखाते नही थे लेकिन अब मैथिल बेटिया भी इंजीनियर डांक्टर और आई.ए.एस. और आई.पी.एस. हो रही है.हमारे गांव की बेटिया भी अब पढ लिखकर कुछ कर रही है.हमारी बहन तो बी.ए. पास करके 1993 मे बी.ए. पास करके गृहणी केवल बन कर रह गयी.लेकिन दिदी अपने बेटी को अपने से बाहर रखकर पढा रही है.ताकी हमारी बेटी पति के सहारे न रहे.

pls make toilet for drivers in near feature

There is no harm in recruiting women drivers . But the practical reality can be different. Other than the latest WDG 4 Locomotive no other locomotive has a toilet. Men drivers stop in the middle and do it in the open whenever the trains have to continuously run for about 4 hours. Imagine the plight of women drivers. Further there are irregular working hours disturbing family life. Besides there are no facilities for overnight especially while driving goods train, at the wayward stations. The management attempts to provide relief by giving them short trips and shunting jobs.. The present situation is that if you join as a loco-pilot.,you retire as a loco pilot. Although better educated than the old steam drivers , they are unable to take up managerial positions as they are office based and they would have to forego mileage allowance which forms a major component of their pay-packet. The Pay Commission can make a suitable fitment in their salary scales to set right this Anomaly. Wish all the women the very best.
