    @@savanahbabyyyy oh rubbish. Seniors have more experience so of course PCS is higher. PCS scores here still considerably higher than what Yuna Kim ever received as a junior.. You don't need to drag down other skaters to make others look good when these girls are already so impressive.

    The scores are fine. They are realistic. These girls achieved amazing things today.I I think it's mean to imply their scores aren't good enough. Judges/tech specialists/officials from a certain country are banned though... coincidence..? It used to be very rare that any skaters would receive 8s in PCS and now people complain that an 8 out of 10 is low. It's objectively not. And when these skaters inevitably improve how will their scores improve if they're already at the highest they can possibly be?

    I think it’s pretty interesting to note that the 3 junior Korean ladies and Yelim all came here with different local coaches. The development in the sport is growing so fast there. I think people would stop seeing them all as same-ish after Korea develops more new choreography talent there as well.

  • @quintupleaxel

    @quintupleaxel

    Жыл бұрын

    In terms of choreography... Yelim worked with David Wilson and Jia Shin worked with Benoit Richaud for her FS. But it will be amazing if skaters from the current generation end up as choreographers in the future.. there's such a large pool of talent. It's also amazing that Minsol Kwon has the same choreographer as Chaeyeon Kim as they are so different. Their own skills seem to have really influenced what the choreographer has chosen.

    @@savanahbabyyyy lol did you go and look up the protocols so you could answer back? Ami Nakai landed a 3A(but she's not really registering with Russian bots and haters like Mao Shimada is I guess). Why are you using an outdated gymnastics term from decades ago in figure skating? Ultra C?! It's not the 1960s! Difficulty now goes up to a J in the table of elements in the gymnastics code of points.. so a C (even an ultra one) isn't really very impressive when you think about it. Funny how you praise these girls when you want to bash the seniors though.

    Because American and European ladies (with the exception of Russians since they were winning everything before the ban) are weak. That is the honest truth. After Russian Ladies the Japanese team is supreme then Korean team. The American team for the women sucks dirt. The men of USA (like Nathan, Jason Brown, and Now Ilia Malinin) are the only champions in singles skating.

    Mao has a good technical level, but needs more consistency for a guaranteed win if facing the Russians. It is good that she can easily win here without anxiety since she is technically the best at this event. It would be tough in the Russian GP with not only a fall on 3A, but a bad landing on 4T. Luckily for Mao the top Russian ladies in juniors have become senior (Sofia A, Sofia M, Sofia S, Adelia P) and the juniors from Plushenko and Eteri are inconsistent enough right now for Mao's potential gold (Veronika Z, Sofia Titova, and Alyssa D are all very inconsistent still). This is assuming Akatieva does not return to Juniors since she is now senior (but internationally she would be forced to return due to the age limit rule and she would most likely win in tech consistency against Mao with a 3A, two 4T's, and 4S. She's the last stable quadster left in juniors if forced back to international against Mao). Also unless Mao can push a 3A+3T in the short she would be behind Veronika Z and Sofia T who are both pushing 3A's in the short and the free. As long as the Russian junior babies don't return baby Mao will have a great run in juniors. I don't think the Russians will be back anytime soon. Maybe in 10 years.

    Почему я не удивлена, что все подобные комментарии пишут люди с русскими фамилиями. Смысла не вижу утруждаться писать на чертовом англосаксонском, а буду излагать на нашем, великом и могучем. Имейте совесть и хотя бы не пишите своё нытье под соревнованиями ДЕТЕЙ. Отсутствие спортсменок из России, никак не умаляет достижение этих девочек. Они трудятся не меньше. И тем более, они не виноваты в том, что происходит в мире. А наши русские девочки знают, кому спасибо сказать за поломанные карьеры (спойлер, не злобному западу). *о политике не спорю*
