There is no freaking pay gap. If businesses could get away with paying women less money than men then no business would ever hire any men. Think about it. Why would any corporation want to hire any men if they have to pay them more money than women. Why would they hire any men when they can hire women and pay them less money. At the end of the day all businesses are all about the bottom line and the bottom line is always to maximize your profits and to minimize your expenses and costs. If businesses have to pay men more money than women they will not hire any men. They will only hire women. I am a man, but if I could get away with away with paying women less money than men I would never ever hire any man. I would only hire women. This pay gap argument has been disproven and debunked over and over again. The argument doesn't make any sense what so ever. It's doesn't have any logic. It's an argument based on emotions instead of facts and logic. The reason why women make less money than men is because they work less hours and are less willing to work overtime, graveyard shifts and weekends. Women also prefer to work more part time hours because of childcare. They are more willing to take time away from work for child care than men. This has nothing to do with them getting paid less because of their gender. It has all to do with their priorities and their lifestyle choices.

Actually your argument does make sense but then it doesn't. Because corporations value the quality of a set product using the excuse that women get paid less doesn't change the quality of the product. Because then they wouldn't be a corporation if they hired less qualified individuals regardless if there's a pay Gap.

What is a woman? I'm not a biologist.

By law employers can't pay someone based on their gender. This "pay gap" is so absurd.

As for books, I've read thousands. Who are your favorite authors, and what are your favorite genres? My first love would be the celebrated Dystopians, but I also jump when the Victorian's say "delightful, darling." From there, I tend to rocket straight through the 19th century on my way to the czars of science fiction. If I had to pick a favorite author, it would be Vonnegut. That tone of his, the depth of the irony, hives me a thrill of joy. On the other hand, some of the modern visionaries can't be overlooked... I mean, did Stephenson call it, or what? It is good to see the pay gap close. Sometimes people have a better salary because they negotiated better, or had another company competing for their services. But, starting salaries should be equal as much as possible. With physical jobs, a man may earn more because he can physically handle more jobs. If you see a woman doing concrete work, she is a hardcore worker with the physical ability to do what is required. She may not pick up 150 lbs, but she can do many other jobs. Earn your pay and don't complain without full knowledge of why you make More or Less than another person. Beware, sometimes the best butt kisser is the best paid. 😃
