I hate that KZread blurs out important historical photos. It's not porn. Apparently, that is not blurred. Stop the blurring of history. It's taking PC too far.

It's not PC. We live in a society that denies death. People can't even say the word "die"! People "pass" now, as if life is a umiversity course and if you fail the exam, you have to live longer. People are shocked if you take a child to a funeral home. KZread censors images to cater to those squeamish people. That's not PC, that's a pampered, entitled, unhealthy society avoiding uncomfortable reality, and both sides are equally guilty.

When men are giing off to war, the wimen stand by the roadside and cheer them on, then won't have anything to do with a man who isn't in uniform. Women support the violence of war, it's just that by virtue of the traditional disempowerment of women they've had to find other ways of putting it into practice. There's an ibteresting book called When She Was Bad: Violent Women and the Myth of Innocence that goes into the issue and makes the point that by recusing to acknowledge that women can be violent, we are unable to rehabilitate female criminals. The comparison between how men are dealt wuth in jail versus women was very disturbing. Female convicts don't get the kind of services male convicts get sinply because society claims violent women exist. Female offenders are being let down by traditional sexism on the one hand and feminists for whom the existence of violent women breaks their sociopolitical narrative.

Nope. And being gay, I wouldn't marry a woman anyway. But women are people, too, and people can be evil. If you claim that women can't be evil, you're saying women aren't human. It's very neat and organizsd to do the men=violent and abusive, women =caring and nurturing, but it doesn't reflect reality.

A well made film but the highly partisan bias of the whole production and the excellent work of the narrator, always emphasizing disgust or condescendence at the perfect moment but also dropping vital details at their most historical importance. Like the civilian resistance for example, le maquis, this is forbidden by law, punishable by death, violently repressed but always perfectly justified. How can a visible army defend itself against anonymous killers? By making examples, it's the only way. And the Jews deported from France, it is even said that they were recent immigrants, but not that the intent was to protect the long time French Jewish citizens. A horrible choice to make that's true but here, the narrator's omission has a major impact on where the charges are laid. If intentional, totally inadmissible. It is those details that contribute the most to the audience's general impression of such videos, and it is sad that we rarely get the facts, all of them and left alone to make our own views, films like these may be highly entertaining but sadly, they have little if any historical value.

A little known fact is after most of the resistance was done by the French socialists and communists De Gaulle side lined them form political office. Wonder of that ead part of operation Gladio? It was the French sommunists that fought on the eastern front. I am not a communist but when you discredit someone because of their political affiliations after they put their lives on the line to help you ...we can see the seamy side of colonial politics.

Snipers like Rosa Shanina did one hell of a job My ex girlfriend was a world class sniper and a black belt that taught hand to hand combat in the Canadian Air Force, she was a competent pilot also, so if a woman needs a big strong man to protect her it's because she couldn't do it because of the politics of the time of they just choose not to learn how to defend themselves because it just easier to bake cookies and all those other "traditional" feminine roles.
