Just wanted to say THANK YOU for uploading the FULL RACE. NBC Sports couldn't be bothered uploading the full, unedited race to KZread... To KZread where there are NO time constraints or ad break broadcast limitations. Nope. Instead NBC edits down one of the greatest 10,000m Olympic Trials Finals to a 3-lap hot-take. THREE stupid laps of a 10k final! Long live piracy. You're fighting the good fight.

I was really impressed with Monson. She's a Wisconsin gal. Sisson trains in Arizona, at least 105-110 every day in the summer. When she finished this race, she just walked it off for a minute or two. Monson was fighting the "wall" all the way through the final laps. The second she crossed the finish line she absolutely melted like butter. Could barely stand up. In the Olympic race she did it again, Emily was 10th, the other two Americans were 12th and 13th. Monson has got a strong head to fight her way through that twice in two weeks.

@@salomonalejandre1395 I hope you didn't assume I was rooting for someone other than Emily. I always root for Emily. My first pick to win. I live in the desert too, two or three hours away. Knowing what kind of heat she trains in, I didn't even bother to look at who she was running against. It was her race.

It's a 400 meter lap. Just about 1/4 mile. A 70 second lap is a 12.8 mph or 20.6 km/hr average. I just got inspired to run on my treadmill. It only goes up to 10 mph. Emily Sisson is 5'2" or 157 cm. I wonder how fast she can sprint. ...great race to watch! Wow!

41 came out. 41? I'm not an Olympic runner, but I have run a distance on a track. How many knew they would even be close? They run for a living! I think I'm not unrealistic nor selfish in asking how many seconds faster could Sisson, and maybe the top ten possibly, have been, if there weren't another 3/4 of the ENTIRE runners on the track!? Yes, like I wondered about a few seconds for myself... For the majority, I know you WANT it, but you did make the race a few meters longer. 41. How many CAN you run? They know how fast they are. That's what I'm saying.

Records breaking are unrelated to the to the shoes. Clearly they’re promoting Nike (given the location), but athletes are training much more efficiently than in the past. They both can go run in the shoes and see there’s minimal change to the speed. Recovery has likely improved because of the shoes, but speed is due to training.

Gidey would win in a TT, but it's very tough to make a race into a TT, especially when drug enforcement is no longer suspended due to COVID. I hope good things for Cheptegai, too, but I would not be surprised at all if he can't even medal.

Emily's time is more than 2 mins outside the best this year. Her time is not in the top ten 2021 women 10k times. She's great lapping sub-par runners, but she's likely to be lapped in Tokyo

How unreal that the top runners are forced to lap during such an important race. Anybody who is not in contention needed to be in lanes 3-4...... or removed all together.

Hmm… I agree with you that the lapped racers are an issue for the leaders, however, taking them out of the race is a step too far. I can’t get behind that. For many of these runners, just finishing is a matter of pride and the position they finish, even if they don’t qualify for anything, matters, for personal bragging rights, if for no other reason. Moving them to the 3rd or 4th lane may be a decent compromise. I might could get behind that. It’s better than taking them out of the race altogether.

commentators keep talking about bringing the pace down. You bring the pace UP, the lap time comes DOWN. If you bring the pace down then you go slower.
