Talking to some locals, they said the park has been completely shut until only very recently. So with it now open and people going in with 4WD's and chainsaws maybe more tracks will open up.. we can only hope! Also, yes I am a bit paranoid of falling foul of the single-track laws so you won't see any of that on this channel ;-)

Get into lerderderg state park in the Blackwood side of wombat. Great tracks all open the Blackwood pub and pig and whistle hotel are accessible by dirt bike and out on a great feed

Yeeep, went dirt all the way to the Grampians/Arapiles over Easter. Wombat was insane and with heaps of blocked track... dropped the bike in deep mud/water and had to do some trailside hacking. I found the best was through the national park just west of Avoca. Super fun single track for hours, heaps of really insane hill climbs. It just keeps getting better and better as you continue past wombat to the Grampians via national parks

So what causes more damage? Some singles or massive storms? Public service logic would surely dictate that storms and high winds should be fined and banned.

We had a huuuuuuuuge storm June last year (2021) . That's the reason.

Good one in the Wombat forest. Didn’t realise how much work the suspension does in those conditions, it’s a wonder the internals, springs etc can keep up with it 👍.

I’d stick to the gravel roads!

I ride Wombat a lot, but different are to where you just filmed, there are a heap of loops and tracks around wombat, and yes it was really bad for a few months after the storms hit, its much better now of course... Its such a great place to ride, especially if you've been off the bike for a while, and want to ease back into it, you can do tracks from very easy to very hard, spend all day out there and not ride the same track twice. Love wombat.

Yes Victoria sucks for the single trail laws but parts of otways I think from memory have legal single trail I live in nsw now but we spoke to the cops and there are legal singles you can ride
