I was at the table. At first she was licking the cards and when asked to stop she then began to fart in her hand and send everyone at the table air biscuits. I was fine with it because it smelled like bath and body works but not everyone agreed.

So many men commenting that they see NO ISSUES FOR WOMEN AT POKER TABLES. Very interesting and it highlights the issues exactly. If something doesn't affect you it doesn't exist apparently.

That poor dealer. Had to manage two complete melt downs. Chip Rheem might have been worse. It was all very awkward and unfortunate. I mean we were all taken aback by the outbreak,but it was pretty uncomfortable, and did go on for a long time.

What I don't understand is why all these folks can have their cells out on the table. One time I just took a peak at a text and the dealer bout ripped my head off. Think they said I could use it to cheat or something, can't remember. Is this not a rule at all casinos? Only the jankitity ones I play at?

It depends on the casino. In many places cell phones aren't a problem as long as you are not looking at them during a hand.

This video reminds me of the conversations from the 2019 and 2022 TDA Summits about how hard it is being a woman in a poker room. She clearly should have just taken the penalty and talked to a floor about it off the game, but it is pretty likely she is telling the truth about being berated by everyone else at the table and about the poker staff doing nothing about it. The things she is saying is almost word for word what multiple women have talked about in the summits and it really is a problem in poker that keeps women away from the tables. Most likely fault on both sides here.

that's not what this is, I was at the table with her from the beginning of the event, this is mental illness, manic/depressive with paranoid behavior. She had issues and drama with every dealer and most players at the table. The clock was called on her preflop in a hand that took 15 minutes, she refused to show her hand when another play was all in. A man would have been taken out in handcuffs if they did what she did.

EXACTLY!!!! I've been there and some times you just freaking SNAP! It's like, why can't we just relax and have fun; or, focus on the game. No, we have to deal with the rest of this sht and then be called ugly, a dog, etc. (read the comments here) when we finally stick up for ourselves. Just found another comment about she being old and white so she must abuse wine. sigh And these idiots think they are being funny.

I agree this is how I feel about it. It's hard to tell but it seems she's making the plight worse for most women in poker because a few of the men have an issue with ladies playing poker. Where can we find the TDA summits are they recorded? We just did a podcast episode on the WPA's Raise it UP program for card rooms to promote a better environment for all but women in particular.

Can you give some examples? Been playing poker 15+ years and have never seen male poker players gang up on a female. Also, what should we be doing to make the environment more comfortable for women? You literally just show up and play. If you don't like the table talk then wear headphones...do we need to paint the decks pink and refer to the king as K so no one gets offended? Come on now! Game is just fine. Most women just don't want to play cards. It's really OK to have male and female dominated activities guys. It really is going to be OK.
