Years back I watched a nature show on Octopus - I cried so hard. I watched a mother relentlessly work and risk her life to save her babies. I vowed then that I would NEVER eat octopus and I have not and will not when I know how hard their lives are

Even the things we eat/consume. Just because we are carnivorous, doesn't mean we have to lack compassion/respect for the things we eat. Life is precious and miraculous, providing us with what we need to survive and endless things we don't yet understand.

@@scruffygaming627 very true, the fact that we eat other animals does not mean that we should eat ALL animals, the most ideal option is to take as much as you need but make sure that it does not cause irreparable harm

Are you serious? Women go through hell to procreate. It is painful, long arduous process. Then most of us give our bodies over to nursing our babies with sore, bruised and cracked ripples, engorged heavy and painful, for months to years. To say that women don't dedicate themselves to their babies is utter nonsense. Humans are over 8 billion strong. Each and every one of those 8 billion humans got here through a woman's body. Don't forget it. I am shocked that a "psychology major" would say such a terrible thing about human beings. It's absolutely untrue. You have no case to be made when humans fill every nook and cranny of the land on earth, and it is 100% due to the dedication of human mothers.
Apparently if they touch you skin on your hand apparently they never forget you😮how amazing imagine finding her again like that what are the chances😊❤️

Agree. Spain is trying to licence the world’s first octopus farm. Totally inhumane (and not sustainable) to farm carnivores for their meat. There’s a petition floating around somewhere which you can sign to oppose their plans.

This is nature in all of its majesty and with all of its dangers. We are only scratching the surface with our understanding of these beautiful creatures. As a predator, octopus are second to none. With their highly developed intelligence they are able to live in many parts of the worlds oceans. When they live on or near reefs for example, they have the ability to perfectly mimic the colours of the reef. There is also a school of thought that octopuses can communicate with each other with a complex language. As for their physiology, they have 3 hearts which they use when hunting. Once they are resting, they can switch off one heart to conserve energy. What this wonderful lady has shown in this beautiful clip is the best of humanity ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Thank you dear lady for sharing this beautiful little clip.
Wow that was amazing. Thank you for taking pictures. What a beautiful ocean creature.

I've always had an aversion to eating something that could potentially be smarter than me. Well done, lady! Thank you for your compassion.
You're not her human. You're her guardian angel.
Even in nature all life is precious. I believe one day this favor can return back to the incredible lady that helped as even her life is precious as well
I really despise trapping creatures like this. Thank you so much for saving her and her babies!
I really wish that humans like yourself can make it a helpful mission to identify mother Octopuses that are starving to protect their young & help support them, like giving them food & protection like you did. Stories like this expand everyone's hearts. 😢💞🙏😇
What an incredibly amazing story this is. Found her 2 klicks away and then a few minutes later finds the tube!!!!! This is just unreal. What a story
Octopuses seem like one of the best sea friends you can make, it really is too bad they are so short lived for how intelligent they are.
Yes! Octopus recognize human traits, and faces!
