Their home was in a kind of misunderstanding. The child was taken away from the mother and the father to my own understanding. They got reunited but the argument about the paternity ensured. But what matters here to me is that the woman admitted that the man was a very good man who loves taking care of children even though they are not his.
Very respectable young man, someone raised him right

Agreed, they own the parents who raised him to be where he is now. This reminded me of my song when he was born. He looked different from me and people were questioning if l was his real father. Shes right - if he felt this child was his, then it makes no sense why he wouldnt try and get custody of the child years earlier instead of letting the child be taken away and waiting till the child is a grown up before he tries to get said child back (and it looks like he only does this after she contacts the boy/tries to have a relationship with said boy). where was your head/desire to be the father years and years ago when this kid was just a baby and needed a parent

She said the man takes care of all of her kids and that she cannot lie he is a good man. to be honest im wondering why this whole thing came about? IF the boy was 15-16-17 i could guess she wanted a way to claim child support from this other man she suspected. However since the child is 18 what was she trying to accomplish? just hurt the man who's done right by her children for no reason? This just seem's like Cruel and Unusual punishment to inflect upon a father and it's not even like there's greed for motive
@Joel-js2gk

@@jasonu3741 She genuinely did not think he was the father. Had nothing to do with trying to hurt him. Many of the things she said were disrespectful, her tone was not kind, but sometimes in emotional moments things come out wrong. @@Joel-js2gk they both carried a lot of anger towards each other for so many years that have past. Neither wanted to take responsibility or listen to the other, they were too busy pointing fingers. She did acknowledge he was an excellent man taking care of her child and grandchildren. She did truly believe, as you said he wasn't the biological father. My question is, if he's still in her other children's lives and he felt this child was his, why didn't he get this DNA test sooner? She was happy for him with the positive results. She gave a genuine smile when the results were read. I thought her response to the judge was, "that's my Fred"? The gentleman's name.

If she ACTUALLY didn’t believe he was the father, she had 18 YEARS to get a paternity test. If he wasn’t the father that would’ve ended this situation immediately. This has NOTHING to do with their son and everything to do with her weaponizing her own child to spite her ex. She doesn’t even care about how all of this is affecting her son. Absolutely sick. I wish I could give that young man and his father a hug.

This just goes out to tell how men are abused in our society. You cant even be a father to your own son + if the woman takes the kid away from you, you still gotta provide for them even without custody. And in case of marriage if you dont want a divorce other people will interfere and make you have a divorce and on top of that you'll have to pay alimony half of whatever you have is gone

There is no doubt that man loves his son. Despite not being there for most of his life, I imagine it's pretty heartwarming for him to to know that his biological father loves him that much too. I hope they have a wonderful relationship moving forward.

Cecilie M I can imagine. Been there. Foster care is horrible. Not only is there abuse or neglect but you got no idea where it will come from. People around you change too often to know. I watched this episode 3x, I've concluded that Mr. Brooks wanted to find his son and he did, I'm very happy for the both of them. The handsome young man is already very polite and respectful, now that his biological father is in his life and Brooks want to be in his life, Mr. McDonald can heal from the psychological & emotional harm neglected fatherless men grow up with- which steals their potential as a man. I also hope he gets the professional counseling the show offers him, and the counselor is a very good one.
