This is Damian Aspinall's daughter who has spent her entire life around these Gorilla's, she has literally been going in there with them since she was a baby. Is that a silverback? Looks like an elderly female to me. I know you can see a bit of silver on the back of the head/neck but females can have that too, especially once they're past 40. If this is a silverback he's lost a ton of muscle mass. Also I am not sure it would be nearly as safe to be that close to a silverback, let alone actually lay up against one. I know this girl is 3rd generation "gorilla whisperer" but still. I still envy her beyond words and certainly am no less impressed, I just have trouble believing this is a silverback.

She can't make eye contact with him,it's taken as an immediate sign of aggression. She's looking down so she doesn't forget to not look him in the eye. Good practice to remember.
