I did the same thing with my Cat Floyd. Someone dumped him and his siblings in the forest behind my house at about 4 months old. He was a long haired cat and you could count his ribs through the fur he was so malnourished. I started feeding him and made him a shelter out of an old box and some blankets. He bit me and scratched me many times in the weeks and months it took to earn his trust but eventually he warmed up to me. I took him to the vet. Had him checked, given his shots and scanned for chips and tattoos to ensure he wasn’t a lost kitty. Then I took him home and made him a member of the family. He turned into the most gentle and affectionate cat I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I could wear him around the house like a scarf on my shoulders and he would just purr and drool. Even when he jumped up on my lap he wouldn’t use claws (which if you’ve ever owned a cat before you know is standard practice but well worth the pain in exchange for the cuddles) He passed away at the age of 15 and is buried in my backyard under a tree I planted for him. The tree is now about 20’ tall and I still miss my lil buddy Floyd. Best cat ever. God bless you Anastasia. You’re one of the good ones.

We saved a stray during a sleet storm. Let her into ur back room, out of the weather. we had no idea she would have SIX kittens that night. She was so starved she didn't look like she had six kittens ANYWHERE. We found excellent homes for some of her kittens, and kept Mom and three others - no good homes to be found. Her littlest - the runt - needed to be supplemental bottle-fed. She was too small to fight for her place. Mom did the rest - cleaning and grooming ... Gracie turned out to be my Diabetic Alert Cat, and has saved me from coma twice now. She still checks me every morning 💞 We changed Kewpie (mom) and Gracie's world, and they SAVED MINE. There was a (moral?)story this reminded me of. There was a man walking along the beach, enjoying the sunset. As he walked, he would throw the starfish that had washed up on shore, back into the ocean. A boy saw him, and asked him why he was doing that, as there were countless starfish on the beaches. The man picked up another star fish and returned it to the ocean. He said, "It made a difference to that one".

The fact that he allowed her to rub his belly and touch his paws is a sure sign of trust. Amazing job!

What an awesome true to life story! The morals learned here are: Patience is a virtue. It pays off in the end. Love and wellness to both!😊🐈🐾✌️
Made me cry. I thought the cat was gone for good and then there was a little hope, paying for all of the vet visits and then, you got to bring the cat home. What a beautiful story.

Animals bare their teeth to intimidate other animals, they're showing you their weapons and that they're probly willing to use them. Like when chimpanzees look and sound like they're laughing, no it's actually a sign of fear.
Love how she was so generous and didn’t give up on taking him home. I liked how he had an attitude but became more loving because he was taken care of and loved.
This is the best kind of life story I love to discover: they obviously needed each other, so fate and circumstances brought them together! 😻
Wonderful story. Glad the kind woman who was so patient and generous was able to keep him!
One of the most heartwarming animal rescue stories I've seen, you can see at the end the anger and fear in the cat's eyes is gone.
The break-thru moment when the cat finally accepts the attention, the care, the concern shown for them....it's a beautiful thing. And they become such a different personality. The mistrust is gone and it just seems like their love is endless. Cool video.

Thank you to the lady for helping him and keeping up the pursuit. Thanks to 'We Love Animals' channel for doing these videos. Thanks to all the folks that help behind the scenes like transport, catch & release, vet etc. I'm a volunteer and animal advocate too. We have lots of us but unfortunately need so many more. Also, people need to be reminded of the importance of spaying and neutering their own pets so there are less sad stories about homeless animals.
This is very much like my story with my kitty. She was pregnant when I spotted her and I managed to feed and gain her confidence to bring her in before winter really started. She is bonded to me now.
I am such a sucker for these rescue stories. So heartening and uplifting.

Very heart-warming story. Love the cat house you made for this beautiful kitty! So happy you adopted her in the end!
So glad he found such a caring person
What a heartwarming success story. Thanks too for the landlord realizing the importance of having a loving pet.
Even his little meow sounded exhausted ❤ poor baby. I’m glad he found a home 🏡

Anastasia has successfully passed the angel selection programme. For giving so much love to a homeless cat, she has earned her way into heaven and hopefully to care for more animals
I'm so glad there are humans like her who can't look away from those in need, whether human or animal. She may not be able to change the world, but she changed his world AND HERS for the better!

On the contrary, Anastasia DID change the world. Every loving act, no matter how big or small, changes the world.
Hope she and the cat live happily ever after! Seeing this story as even I am on my way to domesticate a stray cat 🐱. They both are giving me hopes that my one would also one day embrace and trust me like Tiger does to her.
I love stories with a happy ending! I'm so glad your landlord made an exception, and you adopted Tiger!!! 🐅 😺❤
I think the defining moment, was when Anastasia paid for the vet bills even though she would perhaps never see him again. So, there was "nothing in it for her", which is true empathy.
